When it comes to land destruction, we want to abuse this mechanic as much as humanly possible. So, how can we achieve this?

The first piece of this crazy puzzle is by first abusing land leaving the battlefield and land entering the battlefield by utilizing Omnath, Locus of Rage, Zendikar's Roil, and Titania, Protector of Argoth to our advantage.

Now, that's all swell and good, but how exactly do we do this? The answer is simple. We combo off our own mass land destruction spells with cards that bring them straight back to the field, such as Splendid Reclamation or Faith's Reward. Once we get these spells going, we usually win straight out because the opponents can't really do anything to counter this once it goes off.

Don't have Omnath, Roil, or Titania? Not a problem. Just have spells that make your permanents indestructible (i.e. Boros Charm, Avacyn, Angel of Hope or Heroic Intervention to protect your things and cause some havoc.

To speed up our strategy, we also call upon the help of Mizzix of the Igmagnus and Narset, Enlightened Master and the benefits that come with them (Capsize, Reiterate, Time Stretch, Aggravated Assault).

The reason we go for the four color commander Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis is exactly that reason, as well as some other personal reasons and love for the card itself. With this commander, we have access to all of the essential mass removal that we need for this plan to work as well as the essential controly/agressiveness that we aim to achieve. Although this card give our opponents card and land advantage in the process, the deck should be reactive enough to Negate this fairly easily.
Strengths:
  • Anything not running control.
  • Anything Aggro.
  • Mid-range Strategies.

Weaknesses:

  • Control Decks.
  • Decks the outpace us.
  • Meren.
