This deck I actually kinda built by accident. My friends wanted me to build a Commander deck using Teneb, the Harvester as the Commander, as it was my favorite dragon card to use.

However, it fell flat on its face. I hated the deck, and it just never ran well. When I had finished testing the deck, I decided to make a 60-card Highlander deck out of it, and this is what I ended up with.

I really put the focus on Rhys the Redeemed, another favorite card of mine, and the life gaining aspect that Soul/Essence Warden consistently brought to the deck. The allies also gave me a solid boosting mechanic and, in addition to the possibility of copying tokens from Join the Ranks, allowed for a much faster deck than anticipated.
