making a midrange gruul deck for my friend that utilizes ramping mana for those big creatures..

sigh i miss Farseek

so here goes:

Elvish Mystics, Sylvan Caryatid and Zhur-Taa Druid are our mana buddies.. we need them to produce mana so we can bring out the goods.

Burning-Tree Emissary this guy let us cast him or her and another creature preferably sylvan or zhur-taa druid or satyr hedonist on turn 2.

Satyr Hedonist a one-time mana boost creature

Wasteland Viper our anti aggro guy this let us survive creatures big or small

Mistcutter Hydra, Polukranos, World Eater our star of the shows.. they are the ones we want to cast, sooner the better.

Domri Rade this dude let us replenish creatures. since we're running 29 creatures his +1 will almost hit everytime

Magma Jet i chose this over Lightning Strike because of its scry.. its very important especially for the +1 of domri rade.

Mizzium Mortar it takes care of flying creature that has 3 or 4 toughness..

the gameplan is to just slam down those mana buddies and then summon the hydras..

comments are very much appreciated especially for the sideboards.
