Maybeboard

This is an Ixalan block deck for... a thing

Some of the cards are low because that's all I've opened. Would probably run more ferocidon, rootbound crag and regisaur alpha if I had them.

Most of the time you're going for ramp to 4-5 mana quickly and then beatdown with midrange dinosaurs. A great opener is:

  1. tap land, or basic (maybe commune, but it's better to save for later)

  2. Mana creature (Otepec Huntmaster or Drover of the Mighty. Otepec is preferred for the turn 3 haste dino)

  3. Ripjaw raptor preferably, can sub in Card: Thrash of Raptors or Ranging Raptors with a savage stomp for a pretty good turn 3. If you opened with otepec you haste here for 4 damage turn 3

  4. Charging Monstrosaur/Regisaur Alpha. The monstrosaur on turn 4 is surprisingly consistent, probably upwards of 25% of games you can curve this well with a lucky opener and/or mulligans. If you got a hasted ripjaw turn 3 and a monstrosaur turn 4 this is a potentially 14 damage turn 4, or with regisaur it's 15 damage assuming no blocks or removal from opponent

Savage Stomp is really OP in this deck because of enrage. Usually you'd be scared of instant speed removal, but honestly it's never really happened that someone removed my Savage Stomp target in response. If you have a Ripjaw raptor you get a free draw, a +1/+1 counter and a removal ALL for just 1 green mana. On the Ranging Raptors it's a little less exciting with a basic land tapped instead of a draw, but sometimes that's exactly what you need anyways.

Card: Commune with Dinosaurs A word on this card. Anyone who has played with Ancient Stirrings knows how powerful an effect this is. It smooths out your mana draws in tight situations, and if you don't need the mana you can usually search up a Charging Monstrosaur or Ripjaw raptor with a lot of consistency. At one point I was running 1 of Vanquisher's Banner as a draw engine, I was fairly happy with it but it became unnecessary (and a bit slow) with the communes main deck. The Vanquisher's Banner became a fourth Savage Stomp because it's just bonkers in this deck

EDIT: The card linking command in the description doesn't seem to be working 100% of the time strangely. You'll have to forgive my strange formatting.
