Sideboard

Get some nasty creatures out while running over blockers. Fly over blockers or just trample over them. If that doesn't work, flood the board with goblins and swarm your opponent to death. And if that doesn't work, ramp into massive mana and drop a 10+ damage crater claws. All of the best things about Gruul shoved into a nice stompy burning package.

Sadly a lot of the combos i was running phased out with RTR rotation but we are still very 5-0 capable at FNM

Turn 1: Forest > Elvish Mystic

T2: Land > another Elvish Mystic if able

T3: Fetch > Polukranos, World Eater

T4: Temple > Stormbreath Dragon Total damage dealt = 9

T5: Land > Stormbreath Dragon + Polukranos, World Eater then dump mana in to Crater's Claws for 16 damageTotal damage dealt = 34 (25 this turn)

So Worldspine Wurm didn't make the cut. Too slow and my ramp gets killed off in my meta too fast. Swapped out some bloodrush for Polis Crusher in the mainboard and am about to look at my sideboard quite heavily. Playing around with the thought of making my sideboard nearly full land destruction as LD tends to fend off control better than monsters. No blue mana for you!

Overall im changing only a few slight aspects of the deck. Adding 2 Nylea's Disciple to keep me above water in the event I begin to stall. Not a regular occurrence but it happens in long games vs control. Also looking into dropping Domri Rade an looking into more burn in anticipation for rotation.

As always, constructive thoughts welcome. The goal here is to make a better, consistently winning gruul deck that can knock down threats and stomp players.

The 3 rounds that I played with this deck I won 6 games, lost 1. Control was a slog. slow and frustrating but swinging 14 per turn tends to fix that. Double Stormbreath Dragon ftw!
