Night after night, Rosheen babbled about a bygone sunlit world, her every word dismissed as a madwoman's ravings.

Sigh. Just like me, in this flavour rant from my new self proclaimed Vorthos magic player self.

I care deeply about flavour and where that rich MTG lore meets gameplay. Rosheen Meanderer is an illustrious example of a perfect confluence of these two things. Rosheen Meanderer is a giant, sister of Brion (Brion Stoutarm) and Kiel (Kiel doesn't have a card), on Lorwyn. She is the most esteemed prophet on the plane and is also known for her being remaining intact through The Great Auroras, planar disasters that immensely changed Lorwyn, causing it to turn into it's darker counterpart: Shadowmoor, and Shadowmoor back into regular Lorwyn, in my understanding. Just look at Ashling's dramatic transformation through The Great Aurora:

Before: Ashling the Pilgrim

After: Ashling, the Extinguisher

Anyways, back on topic, Rosheen Meanderer not only was able to stay the same through these planar transformations, but also had the ability to predict such disasters. Here's where I believe the lore meets gameplay: the concept of a disaster prophesying mystic. If Rosheen Meanderer was able to accurately predict one of the most drastic planar changes in magic history, then in game, why can't she predict other natural disasters such as, Crater's Claws, Blaze, and many more? And if she's accurately prophesying these events, then the players should live them in game (but our opponents will get the worst of it.) The only part of this that I've never understood is why she would be worsening these disasters. Either I'm completely misinterpreting the card or I shouldn't be scrutinizing the flavour accuracy of cards as much as I do. But either way, who cares if our general helps us burn face? I love it! I know I claimed to be a Vorthos earlier but I'm a Timmy at heart, and I loooooovvvve big splashy plays (and infinite combos, which is maybe my Spiky Timmy side. I'm still pretty ambivalent on all of this, okay?). So as you can probably see, the deck includes a lot of Blaze Variations, as well as a few other X spells with catastrophic effects like Strength of the Tajuru. Then there's also a bunch of ramp to make that x bigger. Yup, that's all for the actual function explanation. The deck's pretty self explanatory, I mean, it's not like I'm doing a Gitrog combo primer, i'm not even doing a primer!
