Ancit2002,
Thanks much, but for this deck Timberpack Wolf < Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip < Sylvan Advocate < Lambholt Pacifist  Flip.
Well, at least so far ... we'll see what happens when the deck gets on a real table! My thought process is on Posts #49 and #172 of the Comment sweep.

I decided to give your version a go tonight as well. Just need to find 4 Lightning Berserkers. I am dropping one of the Cryptolith Rites for a 4th zada though. Then my sideboard is going to be a bit different since i dont have any nissas.

addaff,
Good luck and good skill! I really hope you draw well!

I'm actually not playing this evening :-( ... I had to travel this week for work, so will be in the air. And jealous!

Would Collected Company be any good in this deck? It leaves out Zada and Thunderbreak Regent, but other than that, it might be useful...

Quinomorro,
No, not at all. CoCo needs at least 22 fetchable Creatures to be worthwhile, and it's better with CMC 3 Creatures than my little Aggro ones.

Check out All things Wolven for some fun CoCo builds.

Love the deck. Had a heap of fun playing this last night (I got 28!!! wolf tokens through on turn 5).

Can you explain the sideboard? So I totally understand the Zada, Hedron Grinder-Silverfur Partisan combo, and I love the idea of a transformational sideboard. Once you sideboard in the changes and transform the deck what is the perfect draw/ wincon using the transformed deck?

Awesome deck man. Took this to FNM last night and had a lot of fun with it. Went 2-2 with it. W/G Humans is gonna be a real pain in the butt >.<

So after playing it, I'm honestly wondering if Lambholt Pacifist  Flip is actually the right call. Sure it's got a big butt to deal with more creatures and removal, but honestly every time I had it out, I wished it was a Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip. Being able to dig for one of the combo pieces seems super strong.

I ended up going 2-2 as well and echo what F1GM3NT said. Recruiter > pacifist.

Running 2 cryptolith & 21 lands I seemed to get constantly flooded or stuck on two lands. So I will be going up to to 3 crypto, down to 20 land, and replace pacifist with recruiter.

Not sure if you will even see this because of all the love you are getting for this deck, but I have gotten all the cards for this deck and will be running it in my next FNM, which is the most competitive LGS in North Alabama ( The Comic Shop; we average 35 players a week; 15 of which are in the top 40 players in the state). I think this deck has real potential, and I'll make sure to leave my comments after giving it a real run next week. After playtesting against the meta at the shop, the Lightning Berserker is a good place to dump all that extra mana, but the fact that it isn't a wolf comes up a lot. May want to tinker with that spot if you can. As far as the question of Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip > Lambholt Pacifist  Flip...this, at its core, is a combo deck...Pacifist does a great job of clogging the board and preventing early swings, which allows you to draw more pieces, whereas Recruiter lets you dig for pieces (pieces being Messenger, Zada, Partisan, etc.). I think its really preference. Let me know what you think, man!

I love this deck. I wish I could build like this. My werewolf deck sat at "4x Village Messenger" forever before I gave up on it and built Enchanted Tutelage. ._. Mind if I steal/tweak this, maybe splash a little blue?

Awesome deck. Sometimes i even run 1 or 2 copies of Goblin Dark-Dwellers to bring back some buffs for Zada, but yeah, its great.

Catching up on comments ...

Inspectre,
Thanks for the kudos and I'm SO glad it played well for you!
After swapping Zada, Hedron Grinder and Silverfur Partisan for Nissa, Voice of Zendikar and Thunderbreak Regent I really play the deck almost exactly the same. Nissa generates Plant tokens kinda like Silverfur generates Wolf tokens, and her -2 is kinda like Zada plus an Instant spell. And though the Thunderbreak's abilities are nothing like Zada's, it "feels" almost the same ... it's a big threat that has to be answered or I'm on my way to GG, so I'm always happy to see it, and my opponent never is! :-)

F1GM3NT,
Thanks much, and I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah, human tribal is going to be tough. They get good ones in every set, and we've got only SOI :-(
Love your username, btw!

addaff,
If you don't mind me asking: What were your matchups?
Yeah, Cryptolith Rite is a beast. Beastcaller Savant and Deathcap Cultivator are not as explosive, but work well too. I prefer the Cultivator, since you can use the mana for Arlinn and he has more late-game value.

tcrisler,
Good luck (and good skill!) this Friday, and thanks TONS for taking this deck. Wow! I really hope it performs for you.
I agree it would be nice to get a little more Wolf synergy, plus I think my Ave CMC may be a little low so I'll probably be fiddling with my 1-drops anyways. However, I think the Lightning Berserker is quite a bit stronger than Village Messenger  Flip. Like you say, the Bersereker has WAY more late-game value, plus I'm also often surprised how hard it is for many decks to deal with Dash creatures. And the reviews of Messenger over on All things Wolven have been pretty harsh.

F1GM3NT, addaff, and tcrisler,
I totally get what y'all are saying about Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip vs Lambholt Pacifist  Flip, but I've been resistant to relying TOO much on the combo. I mean, sure it's a combo deck, but it has to be able to win without Zada, and the Pacifist really helps out with that. Plus if I find I HAVE to dig for the combo, I'm really leaning towards Gather the Pack for it ... it goes deeper and cheaper than either the Recruiter or Vessel of Nascency. All that said though, I haven't been able to get the deck on a real table yet, so I TOTALLY appreciate your inputs! I should have all my cards this weekend ... can hardly wait to see for myself!

Jaxis,
Thanks, but I have to give mad props to everyone on the Comments sweep list ... NO WAY could I build something like this alone ... I've had a ton of help from all over T/O! And of course ... PLEASE steal/tweak it! Just let me know how it goes! :-)

AXMANER,
Thanks much! Goblin Dark-Dwellers, huh? Yeah, I could see that being a nice top-end if I end up going more mid-range at some point.

I would like to have the option of using the effect of Krallenhorde Howler  Flip that reduces the summoning costs of creatures (possibly by replacing Village Messenger  Flip with Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip). You just get a gut-feel that you want Weirding Wood in there both for early mana-fixing, but also for a slight mana-ramp and earlier summon of Zada, Hedron Grinder, but there is realistically no space for it. You seem to be at that tipping point where, even with the low mana-curve, you want to think of dropping an instant or two for more lands - but that would also not work. Gather the Pack seems to fall into this same category of nice-to-have, but no room for it. I would still be tempted to drop 1 Village Messenger  Flip and 1 Lambholt Pacifist  Flip for 2 Gather the Pack.

Not a problem man. This deck is sweet. Always loved the werewolves and I've been trying to find a deck to really make Zada work. As for my previous comment about Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip vs Lambholt Pacifist  Flip, not only is the former helpful for finding the combo, but also for filtering the top of your deck to find another threat late game instead of topdecking land (which happened to me a few times). Also Recruiter has no limitation to attacking, and sometimes having a 4 power dude is hard to get without Arlinn Kord  Flip out or having to use one of your instants pre-combat instead of as a trick. This deck does wanna play more aggressively, especially if you've transformed the deck after sideboarding, and the Pacifist can sometimes just be a dumb blocker that doesn't help you finish out the game. I'm gonna try it with the Recruiters instead this week and I'll see how well it does and get back with you.

Hi clayperce! I like your aggressive version a lot. There's some sweet interaction between cryptolith rites and lightning berserker and ember-eye wolf. How has Village Messenger  Flip been working for you? I've tested it a bit, but it seems a bit weak against other aggro and tempo decks. Against control it's bonkers though, which is sweet.

In regards to Confront the Unknown, yes I know how it resolves and the buff is way worse than might of the masses. I just enjoy the card draw aspect of it a great deal. In my deck it has been a lot better because I can crack open the clues as a mana outlet while flipping werewolves, which is great. It also helps with card advantage. I still think I'm gonna put in 2 might of the masses.

Draw well sir!

Murphy77,
Thanks for your thoughts!

Yeah, if I find I need the dig-for-combo-pieces effect, I'm increasingly liking the idea of pulling some Village Messenger  Flip (the reviews over on All things Wolven from FNM last week were just SO bad) for either some Duskwatch Recruiter  Flip or Gather the Pack. I'm still really quite a fan of Lambholt Pacifist  Flip she's certainly staying until I can see how she plays on a real table ...

Sorry, but I personally have zero desire for Weirding Wood, especially as a three-drop. Cryptolith Rite is more than enough fixing and acceleration for this deck, and it's only a two-drop.

F1GM3NT,
Makes sense and thanks much. I look forward to hearing from you ... and seeing how the Pacifist plays on a real table myself!

Jasmine,
Thanks for the kudos! Village Messenger  Flip is great in my imagination, but I have yet to get him on a real table. I know he offers very little late-game ... I'm not sure yet if the Werewolf synergy (with Silverfur, especially) makes up for it in the mid-game ...

I find I'm increasingly intrigued by Confront the Unknown. I love the idea of more card draw, I'm just not sure if this deck has enough mana to make use of it. And yeah, Might of the Masses is often just a win-more. Please keep in touch about how it plays out! Thanks again!

So this your deck, it looks very fast. I'm not entirely sold on some of the wolves being in your deck like the silverfur, but it does seem fast. I would like to see this in action very much tho, especially against my deck.

OK, I've playtested this thing as far as I can; it's time to get it on a real table. The current list is the what I'm taking to the deck's first FNM.

Thanks TONS to everyone whose playtesting and early FNM experiences led to the following changes:

My meta is removal and control heavy. I love this deck idea and I want to roll with it. Could you splash a little blue in this? To help defend against control?

AndyReveler,
Thanks much; I had fun playtesting against your deck!

snarlmkiv,
You bet, and thank YOU!

Guinea779,
Yeah, I think some Blue counterspells would be really nice. I've been hesitant only because running a decent three-colors manabase is just so tough now. You might check out Wolves who bench Eldrazi: It's Better Than Yours though ... Rasanck has a Blue sideboard there (in the comments), as well as a slightly different approach on the mainboard.

I have a blue, a white, and black sideboards in my comments. On the deck list I have the normal list of what I'd run.

clayperce, I played against a RUG aggro deck with Managorger Hydra & Stormchaser Mage, and went 0-2. Next was a mono blue deck focused around Willbreaker, went 2-0. Played an abzan company deck, went 0-2. Then played a blue/white deck, went 2-1.

I made some tweaks to the deck if I play it again this friday. I dropped to 19 lands and run 3 Cryptolith Rite. Took out Arlinn Kord  Flip and added in 3 Slip Through Space for more draw.
