I think it's worth trying out at least two copies of. Back in the day, I'd run Glade Watcher with surprising effectiveness. A 2 drop 3/3 is nothing to look down on, and remember - she can trigger herself with any boost spell, ever.

To answer that... probably when I get my Bant deck in running condition after rotation. I'm looking at you, Altered Ego...

also, @clayperce, how effective would a deck with a similar shell, but minus the Zada and plus more pump spells or atarka's command, be?

Kala i have a deck for what your looking wifhout the zada if youd like to see. But with this deck no offense to you clayperce without zada in the main it doesnt run extremely well.

Kala,
I think your idea there, plus some of the three-drops I've resisted adding, would make a really fun Mid-range deck.

mavoricke,
No offense taken at all; you're just speaking truth! I know the deck is still a looooooong way from the optimal balance. But it feels like it's getting there, so I'm super-pleased ... so far! :-)

Everyone,
Ember-Eye Wolf ended up a two-drop, as hoped!

I think Moonlight Hunt may be better than Rabid Bite, it's a Instant that allows all your wolves and werewolves to deal damage equal to its power to an enemy's creature. If not in the main deck (since it won't trigger your Zada-Silverfur combo), it merits consideration for side deck since it can still deal a ton of damage against decks using large eldrazi.

mavoricke,
Well yeah, but I was actually worried it was going to be a three-drop :-P

Noctem,
Excellent! I've always wanted a mini-Brute Strength of my very own!

Ryjo,
Oooh, that's awesome! Kudos to the Design team ... a Wolfpack fight card is just perfect!

I'm sorry if this is going to look like a big dump of links but thee's some cards I would like to suggest:

http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-spoiler/lambholt-pacifist/ <- Replacing Hinterland Hermit  Flip. It can effectively block and kill Sylvan Advocate and many other early game threats and doesn't need much to flip or be able to attack.

http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-spoiler/vessel-of-volatility/ <- Replacing Deathcap Cultivator. This allows you to do some sudden burst plays, dropping zada and then buffing your entire team for lethals out of nowhere.

http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-spoiler/breakneck-rider-neck-breaker/ <- his flip passive buff affects all your creatures and is a great source of trample when you do your buff combo. He's also a solid creature on his own for 3. Replacing Zurgo.

http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-spoiler/rush-of-adrenaline/ <- Replacing Titan's Strength or Vines of the Recluse. It depends on what you value more. Reach or Scry. I would suggest replacing vines and then putting them in the SB instead in case you go against a deck that favors lots of flying creatures IE: R/B Vampires, R/B Dragons, etc.. The source of trample here is just so good.

http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-spoiler/tormenting-voice-3/ <- Card draw could be very useful to you considering you would drop your hand relatively quickly. Not required but useful if anything.

http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-spoiler/moonlight-hunt/ <- Replacing Rabid Bite in the SB. It's more useful imo to be able to take out a big threat than depending on having Zada out for a possible wannabe board wipe.

http://www.magicspoiler.com/mtg-spoiler/duskwatch-recruiter-krallenhorde-howler/ <- Way to find Zada. Get flips on your creatures while still doing things. Not sure where to fit this one. It also reduces the cost of all creature spells your play, including zada. Your combo is now possibly faster or more consistent.

Use some or none :)

Noctem,
Thanks tons!! I'm totally with you on some of those (e.g., I think I was updating Moonlight Hunt as you were typing!); I hadn't even thought about some; and some I need to relook (I had maybe discounted them earlier, but now that we have the full set, things have changed!). So seriously, thanks for the inputs!

Argeaux,
Um, thanks? From my desk it looks like the deck's still hanging in at #2 ... maybe updates show in Australia first? Though frankly, Spootyone's deck can totally kick my butt, so I'm 100% good with that!

clayperce for your transformative sideboard have you thought about Collected Company take out the zada and maybe 4 other creatures then put in Scourge Wolf and maybe timberpack wolf. So itll still be aggro and maybe still turn 4/5 win. Maybe put in Obsessive Skinner that would trigger the 3/3 guy so he could attack

March 25, 2016 12:49 p.m.

clayperce says... #16

mavoricke,
That's a really good idea, and I hadn't thought about it at all! It would frankly be a very tough option budget-wise, but it's definitely worth thinking about. Thanks tons!

clayperce instead of beastcaller what about the enchat that lets any creature tap for mana but beast caller in the sideboard and then side him in after zada combo murders

that's also fairly interesting :D

mavoricke,
I'm not sure Cryptolith Rite works. It seems like I'd need to have to have a spare Creature available to tap for mana. Maybe with a Hasty one-drop though? Hmmm ...

I'll definitely give it a look though; thanks!

clayperce says... #21

Noctem,
Yeah, Geier Reach Bandit looks sweet. No room in the maindeck of course, but maybe in the sideboard. And certainly in a Midrange brew.

Thanks!

March 25, 2016 2:03 p.m.

Having finally seen Cryptolith Rite, I feel like it could be a bomb. If not in this deck, it smells like a brokenly powerful combo piece. Imagine tapping creatures to cast spells to get more creatures to tap for mana to combo out your deck, landing a final move of Vines of the Recluse... or using that in the middle to combo out even faster.

If I have time, I think I'll try making a combotastic Temur version of this using it, and possibly Trail of Evidence.

NotSquishedYet want to work on a deck together using that cause i have an idea for Cryptolith Rite that I feel could be stupid awesome
