I'd hardly call it standard with Fling in it. And I don't think I've seen any $46 dollar budget decks around. Anyway, if you want to upgrade your evasive creatures, you should add Titanic Growth . As well as that, you should add a Primordial Hydra for a trample side to the deck. Because if there is one type of evasiveness in green, it's trample. Also, Witchbane Orb isn't the best choice for a gruul deck.

Fling is standard according to tappedout, it was reprinted in DKA which is standard until September.

$46 IS considered budget compared to many other decks out there, but even then this one is only $46 if you buy every card at the highest possible price... every single card on the mainboard is a common or uncommon which are, at my LGS, 25 and 50 cents each respectively. TBH it probably costs less than 20 dollars to put this together.

I've considered Titanic Growth but opted for Giant Growth instead because it's 1 more mana for only +1/+1 which would be better spent on a +3/+2 from bloodrushing Slaughterhorn or equipping a Rancor .

Primordial Hydra isn't a bad idea, though I DO have trample with Ghor-Clan Rampager and Rancor ... it would be a pretty solid extra win condition. Can probably put 2 in for 2 Wasteland Viper s.

Witchbane Orb is there to protect against decks that run curses and direct damage-type things that would completely ruin me like Curse of Death's Hold , which would be a pain since my evasive strikers (Spire Tracer and Wandering Wolf ) only have 1 toughness, or things that force me to sacrifice, discard, etc. However it definitely is not mainboard material, which is why it's in my SB.

Hey, can one of you guys take a look at my deck and tell me which 4 creatures I should remove? http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/which-creatures-do-i-remove/ Thanks so much, it's really pissing me off :P

I would suggest Wildwood Rebirth for a way to replay your bloodrushed creatures. Also go up to 4 Spire Tracer to not start with one would mean your first turn is wasted. Also I would try and find another good 1 drop creature, it really is essential with this deck to be able to attack from T2 onwards. Perhaps Stromkirk Noble given the abundance of humans at the moment, or even Wasteland Viper as not many will want to block deathtouch, it would also double as a way to get more trample damage through on a big swing.

To make room for these I would drop the Titanic Growth and a single Madcap Skills so you have 4 spare cards for another 1 drop creature. Apart from that really like it, the Wandering Wolf is a really good idea.

Also, if you didnt want to include Wildwood Rebirth you could always benefit from your bloodrushing with cards like Wreath of Geists /Boneyard Wurm .

Made some updates to the deck - I went ahead and added in another Spire Tracer as you said, but don't currently have any Stromkirk Noble s to add in. I think I might go ahead and put in 3 Wasteland Viper s in for the Strangleroot Geist s.

I also went ahead and took out the Titanic Growth s as you said and whatnot, though unsure as to what I should add. Considering Rakdos Cackler s as they're pretty cheap and pretty effective, though I might just opt for a couple more Wandering Wolf s or Pyreheart Wolf s.

I actually did want to add in the Wildwood Rebirth s, but I currently only have 1 and that's not really worth adding in yet lol.

Otherwise, I'll probably put some more thought into this deck at a later time as I'm currently trying to build a RDW, though one thing I really want to do with this deck is get more check/shocklands for it, and then I can probably be fine with dropping down to 20 lands.

Thanks for the advice btw! Much appreciated. :D

Pyrewild Shaman is great for recycling your bloodrush cards. Also + 4 Searing Spear to the mainboard, if you can. It's too great not to be in it.

I like pyrewild but it costs 5 to rush and recycle him in one turn which is too expensive for me, but I'll play test with him later just to see how he runs. I'd probably prefer wild wood rebirth to be honest.

Searing spears were here, but I don't know what to take out for them. I might keep them sideboard until I figure it out

true about the Pyrewild Shaman but just remember you don't have to return him that same turn you use him. You can bring him back anytime. I probably will add him into my Gruul deck and see how he runs once Innistrad block rotates out.

Yeah, I'm with you there - once November (or is it October or something like that?) comes around, and all those other sets aren't standard anymore, I'll probably start experimenting with things like Pyrewild Shaman and whatever else I can get my hands on, lol.

I'm running a similar deck, but it uses Wild Beastmaster which does some insane stuff when bloodrushed alongside other attackers. I'm also undecided about Pyrewild Shaman

Check it out and feel free to give some suggestions: Gruul Wins (Turn 3 GG)
