If you know the HEX TCG then you know the cards: Eternal Guardian and Wrathwood Colossus. They are very powerful but slow at 8 and 9 cost each.
This deck here is a casual ( and inexpensive) attempt to create a similar-playing deck for MTG Modern format using what I currently own in MTGO.

The mini-game is to play cheap cards that draw more cards to eventually play your winning cards = Pelakka Wurm, Platinum Angel/Emperion, Colossus of Akros

I am purposely avoiding the use of mechanics that search for exactly what I need, and effects that can put a permanent into play without paying the full mana cost.
