G/U Merfolk standard deck
Ideas pretty simple, get early board presence with smaller creatures like River Sneak and Kumena's Speaker, prevent everything getting killed and just overpower with hexproof and unblockable creatures Blossoming Defense making it harder for my opponent to use removal on my creatures.
Herald of Secret Streams plays a big part in this deck, we need him to make all the countered up creatures unblockable for the win
Kumena's Speaker River Sneak and Merfolk Branchwalker are solid early game drops to get the deck going
Metallic Mimic is great in this deck for getting counters on creatures from the off basically, works really well
Vineshaper Mystic and Deeproot Elite again good for getting counters on creatures which is kinda the idea of the deck
As I said earlier Blossoming Defense to help with stopping everything getting targeted with removal
Verdurous Gearhulk there as a big bomb to drop dishing out plenty of counters, working well with Herald of Secret Streams
Added Merfolk Mistbinder Deeproot Elite and Silvergill Adept with the arrival of rivals of ixalan, as well as Swift Warden and Admiral's Order these seem to fit the deck pretty well
Also 2x Dive Down will be replaced with a card called curious obsession which hasnt been added on here yet!
Decided to stick with simic colours, changed my mind again, didnt seem to run as smoothly with the Black cards added
So let me know what you guys think, was going to run W/R aggro dinosaurs but seems like a lot of people want to make jurrasic park decks, so thought id go with the merfolk! Any suggestions would be appreciated!
