GU Steel Leaf climb (Core 2019)

Standard* Aggro GU (Simic) Mono-Green

RowdyMagic18

Sideboard

Trying to combo off using Hadana's Climb  ’s flip ability with the new release from core 2019, Gigantosaurus, or Ghalta, Primal Hunger. We can accelerate this process in the early game by either an explore trigger from Merfolk Branchwalker to have one less counter to deal with, or using the kicker from Untamed Kavu a bit later in the game. Also Verdurous Gearhulk can help with that as well if we ramp it out on turn 4, meaning we could flip Climb in the same turn or turn after casting it. Otherwise, Steel Leaf Champion, and Rhonas the Indomitable both very good green creatures to keep the pressure on.

Sideboard has Nissa, Steward of Elements, Carnage Tyrant, and 4 copies of Negate for control matchups. Lifecrafter's Bestiary for some card draw, Nissa, Vital Force for aggro matchups, Heroic Intervention as an answer to boardwipes like Fumigate and Settle the Wreckage, and finally, 2 copies of Thrashing Brontodon for a good blocker and an answer to artifacts and enchantments.

First time out with this deck and it definitely caught me by surprise. The deck worked really well. Climb didnt work as much as I think I would, for I pretty much just sided it out every game 2. The match ups I faced were BW historic, RG Dinos, and finally BW tokens. Wining not only every round, but not loosing a single game! Looking forward to improving this deck and getting it ready for next week.
