Did you guess what's in my grave? I bet you didn't, because the most amazing fact about a reanimator deck is that you can fill it with almost any big/small/cruel/awesome/legendary creature you want.

But let's start from the beginning:

Bury

The first thing you want to get done is bury one, and one only creature in your graveyard: Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur. Entomb and Buried Alive are the tools you need to achieve this.

Sometime happens that Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur is in your hand but what could you do better than giving your Putrid Imp the ability to fly?

Reanimate

Once Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur is in the graveyard, you need a red carpet to the battlefield, and mine is Animate Dead (who cares about the -1/+1?) and Exhume (sure your opponent has nothing stronger than you in his graveyard).

Do it FAST

Dark Ritual is the black mana boost, and Rhystic Tutor could play as Entomb/Buried Alive or Animate Death/Exhume/Living Death. Also, you can cycle the Undead Gladiator as many time as you want until you'll draw the right card.

Now what?

Once Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur is on the battlefield, each turn you are going to draw 7 cards, but you won't be able to play neither of them immediately. Discard every creature you have in your hand and hopefully you'll be able to summon them the very next turn. If you're lucky enough to draw Living Death, every single creature in you graveyard is going back to life. In the mean time your opponent will be forced to play with no cards in his hand, which means he probably won't be playing at all.

Even if you should be able to win the game in one turn or two, if your deck is running low on cards (remember: if you can't draw a card you'll lose the game), just let Visara the Dreadful kill Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur (or alternatively play the Platinum Angel)

Perfect Match

  1. Swamp
  2. Dark Ritual
  3. Entomb on Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur
  4. Exhume on Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur

From now on (1st turn), your opponent will play with no cards in his hand.
