@Zenjatsu yes i have play tested it and it woks quite well. The key is not to play it on turn 3. dump most of your hand minus a few and then play it and and a few other creatures on turn 4-5. all creature you cast get haste and all your creature get the intimidate which often=unblockable. against u/w/x control decks where dumping your hand is not the most viable strategy unless you have a xathrid necromancer out, play it after a verdict with a thrill kill assassin or rakdos cackler to swing and keep up the pressure. and unlike the fanatic he doesn't require lots of devotion

Sideboard Lifebanes, and bring Gray Merchant of Asphodel to mainboard?
October 30, 2013 3:47 p.m.
@CoxaSaurasRex depending on what decks i see i might bring out the Lifebane Zombie s to sb but grey merchant doesn't work in this deck with only 6 permanents with more then one black if we take out zombie and many don't have any at all

Been working on a list very similar to this, glad someone picked up on it. I like being able to start aggressive and then pull back mid game for sac-control. Been playing around with it myself, I find Young Pyromancer to work well in my list albeit I run more spot removal. Strange as it may sound as well, I've actually found Barrage of Expendables to be quite well in my version of the deck. Hopefully I'll get around to posting it sometime and I'll come back and link it but yours is the closest thing to a carbon copy I've seen.

@Shintome yes ive seen very few people running this deck. I got the inspiration from this article- http://www.starcitygames.com/article/27215_Is-It-Time-To-Get-Aggressive.html and ari lax's b/r aggro deck at pt theros. I would love to see yours but it seems yours is more sacrifice oriented while i have sacrifice elements but tymaret is mostly an experiment.

I like it overall! Not too sure about Skullcrack in the sideboard. What are you using it for?
December 9, 2013 12:20 a.m.
@MrDaBucket against master of waves, grey merchant of asphodel, archangel of thune, blood baron of vizkopa and sphinxs rev

oh wow. I just use doom blade or Mizzium Mortars for those. works good against a Sphinx Rev, though. makes sense.

-4 Spike Jester +4 Rakdos Shred-Freak works better with Xathrid Necromancer
January 14, 2014 7:45 p.m.
@ScavDingo and? thats not the point of the deck. and midgame exava still packs quite a punch against control while Mogis's Marauder wins game and is best in the midgame
January 14, 2014 7:47 p.m.
@REVERSEReLAPSE spike jester is to strong not to have and rakdos shred freak is worse then the newly spoiled pain seer so the missing cards are that.

Dark Betrayal in the side for monoblack devotion decks
January 15, 2014 2:45 p.m.
Read the Bones and Magma Jet to smooth your draws and get card advantage so you're not victim to top decking after dropping your hand.
January 15, 2014 4:40 p.m.
@pingpongball120 my sb is not here but i have those in it.
@Cravenoff magma jet kills less thing the lightning strike, most notably Nightveil Specter and pain seer is the major form of card advantage that will be in the deck with BNG

I think you would be better off with Desecration Demon than Exava, Rakdos Blood Witch . First of all he provides much more pressure and can clear the board for your other aggro. She isn't worth the 1st turn 3 damage, especially if the enemy's board isn't clear. Secondly, he's not a legendary. And finally, you don't have enough creatures with unleash to utilize her passive ability anyways.
January 18, 2014 10:37 p.m.
@DragonHaiku exava is a 4/4 and if not blocks better the demon. Exava does not give the opponent a draw step to answer it. The legendary means close to nothing, green decks still play 4 polukranos. In short desecration demon is to slow and doesnt provide enough pressure for four mana.
January 18, 2014 11:02 p.m.
yes but if you need to block a 3/3 first strike is better thena Tapped 7/7
January 19, 2014 10:04 a.m.
I love your deck and a huge fan of exava! My only problem is that cackle risk the only one who will really benefit from her. Hopefully born of the gods come with more heroics for +1 counters so you can play it and then madcap them and get haste from her. Sorry I didn't box names I'm on an iPad and am too lazy ha. +1 for the deck though
January 20, 2014 12:40 a.m.
@Rufio the passive ability means nothing really, its nice to combo with a cackler but it doesnt do much. Shes there to be 4 hasted first striking damage.
January 20, 2014 9:46 p.m.
Oh that a good point, but I think she will be a hell lot better when tribute comes out cause it can give +1 counter then they will have haste and bam exava just flew in price haha
January 20, 2014 10:20 p.m.
@rufio1406 I was thinking Flame-Wreathed Phoenix .

Have you playtested this? I'm curious as to how well Mogis's Marauder works
