I could definitely use her, especially when Eternal Thirst is making things big, but she's such a high cost that I wouldn't want to see her often. I'll probably cut the price of the deck and replace a copy of Captivating Vampire with her. Thanks!

Bloodline Keeper Flip and Vampire Hexmage should be in every Vampire tribal deck. Left unchecked, BK will simply overrun your opponant. Check out my vampire deck Vampire Eradication if you want some ideas! Either way, +1 for Vampires!

I would drop the Guul Draz Vampires for a playset of Bloodghast

If you would look at the explanation for the reason why I chose Guul Draz Vampire over Bloodghast, you would see that I did it for budget reasons. If I were running a non-budget version of this list, I'd include it.
Thanks anyway!

Some more hand disruption, mainboard the Thoughtseizes and add at least 3 Inquisition of Kozilek, maybe drop the Mutilates for them.

Inquisitions are a little pricey for me at the moment, and they would be better sideboard to me since they aren't guaranteed to hit bigger things like Thoughtseize would.

But if one can afford them, they'd be great against most aggro decks.

yes it is inkslingerxx. Same confusion i faced with Guul Draz Assassin being 5 dollars and Bloodghast being only 4 dollars more...

I always run Despise and/or Duress instead of Thoughtseize cause I'm cheap lol.Although the other day I saw just one theros pack sitting for sale at the shop and I pulled a Thoughtseize

I am a huge an of Despise, and I actually don't play with Thoughtseize at all because I don't like paying life. Then again the only deck I have that runs discard is Lock-Down with Fae, which contains 4 Bitterblossom, so paying additional life when I'm already bleeding out isn't really appealing to me.

I explain in the description that you can run Despise/Duress if Thoughtseize is out of your budget. I only have them listed because they were dirt cheap during SCG's Christmas sale. :P

Have you considered Bloodghast or Kalastria Highborn? One is nice for the recursion, and the other lets you survive and gain life.
Also you should probably remove those Urge to Feeds and replace them with some Thoughtseizes from your sideboard.
Finally, consider running Mutavault instead of Tectonic Edge. It'll help push some damage through and will receive the buffs of your other vampires.

What would you replace for Kalastria Highborn?
I like the idea of Bloodghast, but at 10 life, I'd rather have an evasive 3/2.

Personally I'd replace a Necropolis Regent and a Mutilate, this would lower your curve and also increase your threat density.

In my opinion if you are going to be killing creatures in a vamp deck you cannot go wrong with Blade of the Bloodchief. I would also switch out Kalastria Highborn for Child of Night since you have so many ways to get vamps big you may as well make them super threats when they have lifelink.
+1 sir.

Kalastria Highborn is good board wipe/removal pressure, and she creates a threat that lets my big creatures live to fight another night. I see what you're saying about Blade of the Bloodchief. Question is, what do I replace to put it in?
April 10, 2015 9:07 a.m.
1x Creeping Corrosion would probably be better to side in for affinity than 4x Maelstrom Pulse. I think 2x maelstrom pulse and the creeping corrosion would cover it.

i suggest running Bloodghast + Viscera Seer . It combos with Blood Artist and Kalastria Highborn really well and helps you dig for much needed cards. A nice combo is to sac the Bloodghast with the Viscera Seer, do your drain effects with Blood Artist + Kalastria Highborn then drop a Swamp and get them back immediately. It's almost unfair how broken it is. Can view my Vampire deck for references and tips. I've had the deck for years now and its always a force to be reckoned with, though mine is mono black. Play Like a Vampire

splash red for Olivia Voldaren, and Kolaghan's Command and maybe Lightning Bolt?

I'm not sure. I don't like to idea of having to splash for third color and make the mana base harder to manage.
