A green/white aggro deck for post-rotation Standard including Theros. The plan is to play lots of instant-speed stuff, so starting turn three or four, I can pass turn with open mana and sit on Rootborn Defenses, Advent of the Wurm, Boon Satyr, and Selesnya Charm.
The newest tech to the deck is Vitu-Ghazi Guildmage. In playtesting, it's been bananas. Being able to make a Wurm or Elemental (from Voice of Resurgence) every turn makes the game really hard to lose, especially when I have Rootborn Defenses in hand. It makes for a great late-game topdeck and is still great in an opening hand or otherwise early.
Rootborn Defenses makes a great combat trick, obviously stops board wipes, and sometimes makes 5/5 tramplers or Voice of Resurgence tokens at instant speed for three mana. I've cut it down to just two in the maindeck because there are usually more aggressive things to do with my three mana in the early game and I already have a good plan against control, where Defenses really shines.
Unflinching Courage is amazing in the aggro matchup. Post-board in that matchup, I aim more for a midrange strategy with the Courages and Trostani coming in for Experiment One and Dryad Militant.
I'm not sure what targets there will be for Sundering Growth other than Whip of Erebos, but it seems great as long as there are targets, and the life gain Whip can provide is a serious problem for aggro. Mistcutter Hydra beats up on mono-blue and even on control. Plummet is in here for removing Stormbreath Dragon, Desecration Demon (along with Selesnya Charm) and potentially pumped-up Blood Baron of Vizkopa, though if my opponent is at 30 life, I've probably already lost the game.
I'd like to be running at least a couple Gods Willing in the sideboard, but I'm not sure what to cut to achieve that.
