Basically this deck is based upon a deck that Brad Ogden played at SCG Dal back in November 2013. And here is a video of the Deck Tech for it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjlO3jFtNkg&list=WL6559EDDCF8E2A7C7&feature=mh_lolz
Prior to BOTG being release Selesnya had some good showings at events but I think the best it finished were top 8's. Now with BOTG just like many other decks it didnt gain anything ground breaking but some of the final pieces to the puzzle were now in hand. First and foremost, Temple of Plenty. I can not say how much scry helps and it was something this Selesnya needed.
One drops.Gladecover Scout While not immediately imposing once she gets some enchantments on her she can a hand full to deal with. This card would be second on my list of creatures to enchant.
Soldier of the Pantheon This guys is a work horse. He has won several games on his own do to the fact he is pro multicolored. Keep in mind since he is pro multi color we can not target him with Unflinching Courage or Selesnya Charm. Other than that he is probably fourth target for my enchantments.
Ethereal Armor Enchanted creature gets +1/+1 for each enchantment you control and has first strike. If you have not looked.....there are 13 enchantments in the deck. The synergy is to good.
Two drops.Fleecemane Lion I have to admit I very rarely have this card on the table long enough to monstrosity him. But when he does he is a hand full and very tough to deal with. This card is my third target for enchantments only when he is monstrous.
Hero of Iroas I like this card for two reasons. One it reduces the of my auras by one less colorless. Second his heroic isnt to shabby if I am forced to target him for enchantments.
Voice of Resurgence Even with the amount of removal that is out right now that is able to deal with him he is still just to strong to pass up on as a two drop. I will not use any enchantments on this card.
Selesnya Charm Some times I love it, other times I am like ehhhhhh. More than anything I like this card as removal for big threats that I can not deal with. I am playing with the idea of removing these two cards and one other in place of 3 Holy Mantle
Three drops.Witchstalker This is the main card I look for in every draw. With a couple of enchantments on him he is more than most people can deal with. This card is the number one target for my enchantments.
Ajani, Caller of the Pride I only see two things on this card, his +1 ability and his -3 ability. While I have board control I +1 until I have lethal then I smash in with his -3. I can not count how many games I have won just dropping Ajani and going straight for his -3. He will end games in a blink of an eye.
Unflinching Courage Where do I start. I see this in an opening hand and I smile. The +2/+2 is nice but the trample and lifelink just push this card over the edge in this deck. Normally what happens is the creature just gets to big and I trample damage through.
Spear of Heliod Just a good card that has great synergy with the creatures in this deck. And it gives me a bit of reach to kill opponents flying creatures.
Four drops.Eidolon of Countless Battles I just recently added this card to the deck. And I was anything but short of disappointment. I see this card primarily as a enchantment. +1/+1 for each creature I control and +1/+1 for each aura I control. And lets not forget with Hero of Iroas on the table Eidolon cost 1 colorless less to cast. Last FNM this card turned matches into total blow out wins.
