GW enchantress modern.
What is enchantress? Modern Enchantress is an enchantment based stax deck. Similar to on the Legacy version we use lock down effects to stop our opponents creatures and protective enchantments to stop their spells, while we gain card advantage with Eidolon of Blossoms. we than use token producing enchantments to Finnish the game.
Protection
The core of this deck is white stax, we use card like Ghostly Prison, andSphere of Safetyto force our opponents to pay exponentially more to attack us, along with Leyline of Sanctity and Story Circle to prevent damage and stop our opponents from targeting us with spells.
Creatures
4Eidolon of Blossoms and 4Courser of Kruphix are what we use to generate card advantage, by drawing us more cards and allowing us to play lands from the top our library while gaining life. Nyx-Fleece Ram is used to slow our opponents in the early game giving us time to play our high cost protection.
Finishers
Luminarch Ascension and Sigil of the Empty Throne both produce 4/4 angel token that we use to attack our opponents once we have the lock in place. we also play latest one large threat that can be ramped out to finish the game fast if need be, examples of this are Emrakul, the Aeons Torn Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger.
Hate
Because we have white we have access to some of the best main and side-board hate in modern, depending on the meta we can main-board Rest in Peacefor dredge, Stony Silencefor affinity, and Leyline of Sanctity for burn, giving us the ability to shut down decks game 1.
Ramp
using a combination of Arbor Elf Utopia Sprawl and Fertile Ground, we can produce large amounts of mana early in the game letting us cast our most powerful spells as early as tun 2 or 3.
Why play enchantress? Modern enchantress if for players who enjoy control, and using the synergy in cards to gain the underhand, while still being able to bring the beats with some fatty creatures! another great reason to play enchantress it for budget reasons with a competitive list costing around 350$ about half what most modern decks cost.
Splashing colors
this deck can be enhanced by adding a splash of other colors depending on what suits your style. For now I have only done a little testing out side of the G/W shell.
Red
Red has proven to be the best color to add to this deck for one reason. Blood Moon this card can completely derail decks by its self along with being an enchantment, we can also cast it on turn 2 easily. the only modifications to play this are changes in the mana base to better support loosing non basics, and cutting a few things.
