Elderscale Wurm for the Wurm theme?

That's far to high up the mana curve for this deck I'm afraid, not to mention triple green.

Love this deck! But maybe an Engulfing Slagwurm to keep with the life gain and wurm theme?

Tempting, but again its quite high up the mana curve. By turn 7 I'm looking to get the combo's established with Rhox Faithmender,Wall of Reverence, Sunbond, Predators Rapport and equipping a Behemoth Sledge etc. Committing 7 mana on one turn at that point for just one creature I don't think would be cost effective. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I took a loving in this deck as soon as I first saw it. I actually got myself a less competitive budget version of it :D The cheaper wurm of Life

I might consider a sideboarded copy of Felidar Sovereign. I mean, winning is nice, but nothing compares to smashing face with wurms. Boon Reflection could be sided in against removal heavy deck where your Faithmenders get killed. +1 from me.

Alpha Authority and Sheltering Word normally sorry me out against heavy removal decks but thanks for the suggestion and the +1.

One thing that might be fun in this deck is Colossus of Akros. If you give it lifelink or use Predator's Rapport on it, you could gain a bunch of life, and it is legal in modern. I have some of those ideas in my green deck My Creatures are Bigger than Yours. I know its no specifically a life gain deck. My life gain deck Lifelink Aggro-Control Deck might also be some help, even if it is black and white.

There's potential for this deck to generate a 50+ creature by turn 6 and with no ramp having an 8 cost 10/10 seems a bit redundant. Gaining 20 or 40 life is small fry for this deck as when it gets going it can easily reign in 100+ life per turn.

Thanks for your suggestion though, I'll check out your decks as well.

I run a life gain deck similar to this in the sense that I outlast my opponents before striking.

Well of Lost Dreamsis always an allstar for me and can devestate the opponetns because once you start gaining life and refilling your hand its gg.

Also I love your deck man. Rhox Faithmender is brutal out there with the lifegain. I just got done playtesting against my lifegain deck. Match went to turn 20 haha.

Well of Lost Dreams might do you some good in the sideboard for longer match-ups because it adds so much steam its nuts. Maybe it would be worth a couple playtests. Also, the classic Oblivion Ring might pay off in the sideboard against decks that rely on artifacts as wincons such as mine.

My deck is here if you have some time to check out and critique it:

I use Chalice of Life  Flip and White Sun's Zenith as wincons.

I've not come across Well of Lost Dreams before, it's definitely an interesting card and worth a play test, thanks.

My play group dont run that many artifacts decks so i don't think I'll need Oblivion Ring but i can see how it would be useful.

I'll check out your deck now.

Have you considered Dawnglow Infusion? In a white green deck with a rhox faithmender in play, it doesn't take much mana to get massive lifegain in one turn with that card.

I can see how in the late game that's a great mana sink for lots of life but early game life per cmc wise it's just not as good as Heroes' Reunion, as I'd need to spend 4 mana just to get 6 life. In the late game this deck relies on creatures for its life gain rather than instants so I don't think I would drop anything to fit it in. Thanks for the suggestion though.

You should sideboard Intervention Pact as a ridiculous way to stop infinite combo damage.

Also consider Survival Cache. Once you have lots of life you draw two cards and gain 4 life.

Thanks for the suggestions. Intervention Pact is definitely worth a sideboard. I don't know what I'd drop to fit Survival Cache in and this deck doesn't need to draw that many cards to get the combo's working so I'll probably leave that out.

Why not graypelt refuge to help with life it seems to do well in place of selensya sanctuary?

As this deck only see's casual play, I prefer the land drop consistency Selesnya Sanctuary offers over the small life gain of Graypelt Refuge.

You should look at Armadillo Cloak to take the place of Unflinching Courage or Behemoth Sledge because it stacks with life link and other instances of itself . You could also attach it to your opponent's creature and gain life for the damage that it does.

The only bad part is the card isn't Modern legal but I don't know if that matters to you.
