Thanks for the suggestion of the Obelisk of Urd , totally forgot about it. I'll test it out. Quick question, by bestowing Herald of Torment it becomes an aura so it then activates prowess on Seeker of the Way ?

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd say no, since Prowess is "Noncreature", and even though t's getting cast as an aura, it still is a creature card. Having said that, if you don't have devotion to activate a god, it doesn't count as an ETB effect on creatures, so I could be wrong.

Bestow is casting the cast as an Aura Enchantment. So it will trigger prowess.

Okay, so Prowess checks for cast, not card type. Thanks for the clarification, Lemming.

No problem. Also how has Herald of Anafenza been doing for you? He doesn't seem as powerful as he maybe should be. I'd have to playtest, but it might be ok to add a couple more removal cards instead of the Herald

The Herald of Anafenza I'm kinda fond of cause the tokens are warriors and with a chief out the herald becomes a nice mana sink later(by making anywhere from a 2/1 or 1/2 to maybe a 3/2 or 2/3 token). And in early game you can outlast him and still be able to block which is not something most outlast creatures do. Overall I like him. You guys let me know what you find with him to please. It also looks like we think bestow activates prowess to right?

Yes, Bestowing does indeed trigger Prowess. As it was said, Prowess looks at SPELL type, not CARD type. The wording of Bestow clearly states that it BECOMES an aura spell, thus meeting the non-creature requirement for Prowess. Just thought I'd reinforce that. About your deck though, I like it a whole lot, it's very aggressive. What are your thoughts on adding Soldier of the Pantheon ? I realize he's a Soldier not a Warrior, but he's undoubtedly the best White one-drop in Standard, and a real boon to the plethora of multicolored decks in the format. Also, since you're already Bestowing a non-Warrior guy, why not make it Eidolon of Countless Battles instead of the Herald? It seems like the Eidolon would give a way bigger buff in this deck, and he doesn't ping you at your upkeep. Unless you absolutely need the Flying, I think Eidolon would benefit you more. Plus he's cheaper to Bestow, and consistently hitting 5 mana with 20 lands can be difiicult. +1

Thanks for that comment. I haven't made a sideboard so suggestions. I like Soldier of the Pantheon a lot but not being a warrior is the reason Herald of Anafenza is played. Soldier will make it to sideboard for the multicolored diversity of standard. As for Herald of Torment I have been thinking about dropping him for Obelisk of Urd and another 2x of another finisher. Eidolin I think warrents investigation through play testing

Less tap lands. Warrior decks should be aggro and tapped lands slow them down. That's also the case with Obelisk of Urd . Too slow. Check out my Wooded Warriors deck for ideas. As well as my suicidal warriors deck.

I'll probaly replace the tap lands for Mana Confluence but I like the addition of Obelisk of Urd and will probaly keep it in for a lil while longer until it starts losing power.

and if this is an aggro deck with Athreos, God of Passage, Chief of the Scale isnt necessary, pump up your creatures power and beat face. I would add some draw spells like Sign in Blood, that is a good card because when your opponent gets into burn range you can target them. Ive won that way one time and the dude almost flipped the table rofl

Ok that makes since. I may replace with sorin and that new white war that exiles cards from grave when I play a war. Which is very good for sidisi whip.

I would sideboard a conditional card like that, while sultani whip decks are abundant, that card just becomes foder when facing other decks like jeski burn. I would add more removal, like Utter End for god removal or Hero's Downfall for planeswalker removal. Ive never been a fan of Murderous Cut, its a waste of a draw early game and thats when aggro decks need to shine and get ahead.

I URD you're playing warriors... I URD there's a tribal helper card that will make all your guys way bigger. I URD it was an artifact. I think it was called... Hall of Triumph .
