Behold Gallowbraid in all his glory. Luscious golden hair, sharp fangs and a callous disregard for his own well-being, he wants to Voltron up and pay some life if that's what it takes to win.

Gallowbraid brings trample to the table, so we mainly want to give him deathtouch and get his power up. Pretty self-explanatory Voltron things.

The twist in the deck comes with Gallowbraids drawback of 1 cumulative life per upkeep. We go harder into paying life with cards like Hatred and Unspeakable Symbol. There are a few payoffs like Vilis, Broker of Blood but what we really want to do is swap life with our opponents once we get ourselves low enough - see cards like Magus of the Mirror.
