Curiosity would be a cheaper option to Helm of the Ghastlord . Exsanguinate gives you another outlet to pour your infinite mana in to. Capsize is also another infinite mana win con from what I've gathered.

Keep in mind. Mikokoro, Center of the Sea and Desolate Lighthouse become wincons then you have the Palinchron combo active.

Not really much to say, it's a lot like mine. Everyone gets cards!

@ SpammyV The reason for Helm of the Ghastlord over Curiosity Is that it makes my opponent discard as well when attached to my Commander. I willl consider the suggestions you gave me as well.

@ j35bomb Thank you for the suggestions :3

@ Ohthenoises Wow I didn't even realized that its going into my infinite combo section. I already have Mikoro in here I might add Lighthouse as well.

Thank you all for the feedback :3

The Desolate Lighthouse one works if you have Psychosis Crawler or Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind . However you can simply filter your library until you hit a tutor.

If you don't mind doing damage to yourself per draw, there's Spiteful Visions (also makes them draw more) and Phyrexian Tyranny (no problem for you with your infinite mana, and it's loss of life, so harder for them to avoid). The damage to yourself is risky, but with things like Underworld Dreams , you'll be damaging them a lot faster than yourself.

For extra forced draw, there's Horn of Greed .

Since they'll be doing a buttload of discarding in addition to drawing, may as well take advantage of that. You already have Liliana's Caress , but there's also Megrim (not as good, but still damage). And for a little lifegain, you could throw in Sangromancer . If you want them discarding even more, as well as having less options available to them, then Locust Miser could help.

For another infinite mana combo, there's always Grand Architect and Pili-Pala . Conceivably you could have infinite mana by turn 4 (3 to cast the Architect, 1 to turn Pili blue).

@ Halbrecht The only thing wrong with cards like Spiteful Visions is in this deck I might end up drawing ALOT more cards than the opponents so it might end up screwing me over more then the opponents.

Horn of Greed Looks interesting I might consider it.

If the a player has a card like Spellbook It tends to make discard moot so I don't have too many cards dictated to discarding since I want to keep burn as the focus but those are interesting options.

As for the infinite mana combos you have shown me I usually only keep such combos if they contribute to the deck on there own or have more than one way to pull it off,

Thank you for the feedback :3

I guess I didn't realize you generally would draw MORE than them, so yeah, Spiteful Visions is not so good. Phyrexian Tyranny could still be played if you have your infinite mana combo out, because it really can't hurt you then.

Is Spellbook really that common in your playgroup? I think I'm the only person in my group who has built a deck with Reliquary Tower , Venser's Journal , and Spellbook . Maybe you could sideboard cards related to discard, and only use them if you're sure your opponent(s) don't have something like that.

I don't understand your concern on the infinite combo. I'm assuming when you say "they contribute to the deck on there own" you mean each piece of the combo is useful on its own. While Deadeye Navigator and Phantasmal Image are certainly useful, I don't see how Palinchron is useful except for the combo. That being said, you're right, neither Grand Architect or Pili-Pala are much use on their own, since you have very few artifacts to benefit from the Architect and no way to tap Pili. Still thought I'd mention it :)

Another thought: An alternative to Propaganda could be Hissing Miasma or Blood Reckoning , which fits the burn theme a bit better and is still a pretty hefty deterrent to attacking. Propaganda is probably still a more effective lock, especially when they get desperate enough, because they might actually pay the life, whereas there's only so much mana they'll have available for that. Still, they may be worth trying out.

Palinchron + Deadeye Navigator can win the game with Mikokoro, Center of the Sea or quite a number of other cards.

November 15, 2013 7:39 a.m.

Blizzicane says... #11

@ Halbrecht Palinchron may not contribute directly but their is more than one way to pull it off.

Palinchron + Deadeye Navigator = Infinite Mana

Palinchron + Phantasmal Image = Infinite Mana

And also for the reasons noises said.

Hissing Miasma Looks great but I am going to have to find space for all these cards despite EDH being a 99 card deck I never have enough space for all these cards D:. So until then it goes to the maybeboard until I can figure out if I should take out something or not.

November 15, 2013 12:46 p.m.

It took me forever to figure out how Palinchron + Phantasmal Image created infinite mana... Once I did, I felt rather dumb, cuz it was so obvious! Haha. Now that I figured that out, Palinchron does seem more worthwhile. And even on his own, it never hurts to cast a big flier, and then have all the lands you used on him (or others) available for more shenanigans. :D

I know, right! I always end up with a stack of 150 good cards.... and don't want to cut any of them! Haha. Same happens in 60 card constructed, and that's even worse, because you can have multiples of good cards.... just how many multiples is the right number of multiples?? I'm actually having that issue right now with my Graveyard Rape deck. If you have a moment and are at all interested, take a peek and tell me what you think I should cut!

In any case, I DO like this deck, and think it seems well-constructed and fun.

November 15, 2013 1:32 p.m.

Also, the name is awesome... forgot to mention that. I've actually had to deal with stack overflows -- no fun! I imagine your opponents will feel the same way ;)

I've made a Nekusar deck and here are some things that really fit the theme. I only chose the best ones but there are lots in my deck Nekusar Group Shrug EDH. Here we go:

Jace Beleren

Kami of the Crescent Moon

Font of Mythos

Bloodchief Ascension

Breathstealer's Crypt

Cyclonic Rift

Nightscape Familiar

Blizzicane says... #15

I already have Jace Beleren and Kami of the Crescent Moon

Font of Mythos Sounds interesting so I may add it.

Bloodchief Ascension I am debating on still as it was already in my maybeboard.

Breathstealer's Crypt affects me as well so I am not too sure about that one.

Cyclonic Rift is ok but I think I already have plenty of boardwipe to go around but it could end up were a opponent ends up discarding a bunch of things so I will add it too the maybeboard.

Nightscape Familiar was in here but even with the rengeration it was way to demanding to keep alive so I got rid of it.

Thank you for the feedback :3

An alternative win con for you is Laboratory Maniac .

MiniDragon

I might consider it as the deck draws a truck load of cards. I am just worried about how easy it might be to remove it considering all the removal floating around in edh and how it will be a dead card for most of the game.

March 10, 2014 7:43 p.m.

MiniDragon says... #20

That is true. Could always run Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir . He's a good card for any deck. Problem is that it's UUU which is harder in a tri-color deck.

You could consider Wheel of Fate as a second Wheel of Fortune . :)

CastleSiege

Tempting... the only thing I don't like about that is I don't get to choose exactly when I want to play it and the fact that the other players can see it coming from a mile away so they would try to attempt to play around it. ):

The one thing that is annoying with this deck is it is so hard to choose what cards I run, I mean look at my maybeboard I want to fit a lot that stuff into this deck but its not going to happen easily. D:

But thank you for the suggestions! :3

There's a card my friend runs in his Grixis EDH deck that speeds up the removal of time counters, I can't remember what it's called though. Next time I see him I'll be sure to find out for you if you're interested!

Kozelek says... #24

@CastleSiege I think the card your thinking of is Paradox Haze . I think you should consider Arcane Laboratory works wonders with Forced Fruition Kederekt Parasite stacks on nekuzar and Spiteful Visions and for this deck I think the best planes walker is plain old Jace Beleren

April 13, 2014 1:47 a.m.

Blizzicane says... #25

Kozelek besides my commander and a few other cards I have very few cards that use my upkeep so I am going to have to past on Haze. Arcane Laboratory sounds like a good idea so I will add it to the maybeboard for now. I already have Forced in my deck already by the way. Parasite was in here but I have very few red permanents so he is not that great plus his very fragile. Spiteful Visions was in here once as well but it turn out it was hurting me way too much as sometimes I might have less life than my opponent, plus it makes Consecrated Sphinx worse. Jace Beleren was in here as well but he was too slow and I rather have a Howling Mine but even that card was takening out in favor of cards like Wheel and Deal .
