Creature (1)

"Tax too much, and the oppressed will rise. There is no exception for the land itself, which is scarred prudently to serve a harvest selflessly. Slaving it is impossible, as even the deepest marks or grandest alterations are but a mild blemish upon its crests. That said, even the smallest wound can fester a greater hatred. As we speak our surroundings fill with quirks and anomalies, as if the very reality of the land snaps in and out of existence. The Creatures of the vast wilderness dwindle in the constant blood moons bath. Tides of disruptions drench the towns as those loved fall victim to disappearances and spurts of confusion. Upon return from their perils they exhibit a strangely mischievous behavior, as if they have just discovered the workings of the homesteads in which they grew. Curiosities in the weather intrigue the farmers, drowning out the obvious threats just beyond the horizon. We gawk and awe, debate and contemplate. The smart are riddled while the wise are concerned all while the common folk are terrified. But the real quarry you should have are with the survivors, the shrinking dots on the long path into the wilderness and over the hills. Whether distance is salvation, who knows, but we sure as hell wont find any solitude here. Its to late for these tainted homesteads. Ignorance to the toll of our labor has sown the fate in which finality shall be reaped. The grandest of harvests shall cull the very fertility of the land and fell every life in the process. and this time it will not heal, no, it is too weary and need of sleep. May it finally rest when not even a ghoulwaker's call nor necromancer's witchery will find fruit to bear."

Average EDH deck but not thrifty. Made for performance over price savings but has a realistic limit. Also themed (I find playing themed decks are more enjoyable than a straight stat crunchers) yet still performs well.

-Destroy permanent abuse inbound-

Changeling creatures and tribal instants compliment the abundant scarecrows. Flickers and blinks help protect your permanents while destroying the opponents in an instant. Of course there are so many permanents, extra land destruction should leave your reaper king passive more room to choose targets, or even help field clear completely

Strengths:

Everything you do after turn 6 will destroy (at very least) one permanent of your choosing. Pretty much by turn 10 you can eliminate massive amounts of permanents per turn if you weren't already.

So many passive triggers on commander that its not even funny, maybe not even bearable. (tribal instants count as if a creature entered the battlefield for those who have never seen them)

Blinking and flickering means not only nullifying a target spell or ability, but also destroying a permanent. A dead land on top of leaked mana anyone? How about a dead planeswalker or fending off another commander.

There is a ton of random mana cost, which makes this five colored deck run smooth and gives you more opportunity to maximize your land use per turn

Weaknesses:

Until Reaper King hits the Floor (roughly 5 to 6 turns) your just an amusement to the field. The early game will suffer for the chance of complete dominance in mid/late game

The more players there are, the harder it is to complete clear. You're still viable as at worst you can focus on just land destruction, the deck just really takes power dives for each player added to the game after the third.

Returning lands is frustrating in the early game with the special guild lands (remember though that there is not much early game presence anyway, so treat it as if casting land ramping spells).

This deck is very susceptible to harass by denying commander. Proper comeback and rebound from this harass is easily achieved when you master the deck, but THIS DECK IS NOT VIABLE WITHOUT COMMANDER EFFECT (ok maybe a little but good luck winning).

never underestimate Call to the Kindred as this card wins hands down

Life's Finale is not just a theme based include, Rooting Kavu will bring everything back to the library for a fresh start. If land destruction focus was your thing (especially in larger matches where targeting each players entire field wasn't feasible) then this could literally be game over. Oh plus insult to injury to one player of your choice.

Why not Mycosynth Lattice? well you would get a boost from colorless mana and creatures with the double mana lands, but look at your scarecrows. So many passive nullified that would be fill with your commander in play. Nope!

Chromatic Lantern? not that many targets. Double lands would be nerfed by this ability if chosen.

So there are plenty of pricey cards that could be included into this deck, but it really inst necessary for the most part. Unless your running against a 500 dollar deck you should be able to handle most of the decks, with your weakness being early game aggro and control (but not crippled by as even a few permanent destruction can change the entire tide of a battle)

Updates Add

fadelightningmm's Descendants' Path kicked Darksteel Citadel

That land really didn't provide much and was worse than a basic land at getting the commander out.

On the other hand Descendants' Path fills a similar roll as Call to the Kindred =winning games
