Start the game with Authority of the Consuls to slow your opponent down and buff up your life total while laying down Servant of the Scale as you prepare for bigger things such as Avatar of the Resolute. The best part is that when Servant dies, he simply leaves behind those precious +1/+1 counters for another creature of yours.

Den Protector should hit the field early and start growing large with the help of Sandcrafter Mage, Thalia's Lieutenant, and Hardened Scales. Even better if you get Champion of Lambholt out to lead the stampede, as it were.

Citadel Siege is there to help keep your opponents down or buff your army further and if the game runs long, Dragonlord Dromoka and Sigarda, Heron's Grace should help wrap things up.

This deck was made mostly from cards I had laying around and is meant for sort of casual Modern play. If I had the budget for it, I'd put Champion of the Parish in there no problem.
