love the deck! im trying to make a sylesnia token/life gain deck right now its still in the early stages. For your deck since right now you have Ready / Willing why not take that out for Alive / Well . I say this because you can only use half of Ready / Willing where you could use all of Alive / Well and just add more Rootborn Defenses if its the indestructible your worried about plus you get to populate with those.

I like the amount of protection provided by the Rootborn Defenses and Ready / Willing . I am still tossing around the idea of splashing black anyways and adding Sorin, Lord of Innistrad . That explains some of the cards in the maybeboard.

Fair enough i think black would be great for things like Putrefy and Abrupt Decay which are in your maybe board so I would agree that black could definitely work. and to cut your current deck maybe remove one of each of the elves? I know eight one drops is like the magic number but since your deck has a pretty low curve I think you will be fine to get rid of them.

I am leaning towards that, but I do like the idea of a three drop on t2 and they both allow that. T3 wurm even.

Timmies Large Double Double (its a Canadian thing).....

I just went a little farther with the same "instant" drop on opponents Turn end with Vile Rebirth , Beckon Apparition , Eyes in the Sky , and of course Advent of the Wurm ... or these work great for when they attack and you got an empty battle field, you can lay some beat down in that "free" 1/1 gyre sage hit.... oops, silly free hitters ... nothing FREE anymore!!!

might I suggest more "populate" .... Wake the Reflections , Druid's Deliverance ... both realitively cheap... cause BiggShaggs181 is right ... "nothing like saying hello and dropping a SECOND 5/5 trample at end of turn" ...... or have you thought about Parallel Lives ?

More populate would certainly speed it up vs control.

actually just lookin at other decks... I don't see it for me... but are you getting "boardwiped" a lot?.... Cloud Shift say to your Centaur Healer or after declaring blockers/before damage.... what ever... or if your Rancor is attached to someone Cloud Shift creature and Rancor back to hand...recast it ...

does a Cloud Shift help you?

only other question is your mana dorks.... do ya need all 8??? with a "seriously" drawn out game I see 1/1 creatures and 31 mana available, but not doing much else... ( lol ) you got 23 mana plus 8 "dorks" 31 total...

could you not drop one of each maybe and add 2 spells?....

oh ya ..... I think I would also 2x Unflinching Courage and 3x Rancor .... as Rancor goes back to the hand..... don't be afraid to pump up a token that will die but damage opponent...

I can drop them or pump them with Gavony Township or block with them being indestructable. I basically want a 3cmc on t2. Maybe keep them in vs one matchup and sb vs another?

I did the same for your deck. I like the idea of yours to punish reanimator and not lose steam with the decks main goal. If I decide to add black, and I am thinking about splashing it for Ready / Willing , I will add some of that gy instant speed hate.

ya I love that card.... Ready / Willing ... my buddy had one and just wouldn't trade it with me, finally I LET him win a game and he traded me.... LOL... and for some reason there is never any at the shops I go to...

I'm not sure if you made this deck with all cards you have but I would suggest you look into cards like Voice of Resurgence Strangleroot Geist Experiment One Silverblade Paladin and Wolfir Silverheart for this deck.

All valid suggestions. I am leaning more towards the rtr block since the others will phase out. Voice is so expensive, or at least it was.

oh ok originally I tried to make my g/w deck with just rtr block for the rotation but with using just rtr block cards this deck really gets over powered very easily. I agree the voices are so expensive I bought mine when they were only 30 but even then it was still expensive.

love the voice, hate the $$$$..... (that's $$$ money, not casting price, lol) saw it in one of the shops selling at $56 LOL...

ok well i looked at everyones decks and they all look great! after testing mine a few times and having lengthy conversations with another friend of mine who also owns a selesnya this is the list i have come up with http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/just-another-selesnya/ sorry im not sure how to format deck names or i would do it like you guys. I think this is the best i can make this deck list until maybe theros. See what you guys think for me? Also vyledust why not remove the two Ready / Willing for two more Rootborn Defenses its same cost and has less color diversity plus you can populate. Just a thought

BiggShaggs181, it is in there for the surprise factor. Populate is nice from the Rootborn Defenses , but untapping and having indestructable from Ready / Willing is nice as well. At the point where it matters, mana to cast it will not be an issue.

I think you don't need 4x Arbor Elf ...Avacyn's Pilgrim might ramp enough and if you play 2x or 3x Trostani, Selesnya's Voice you don't need the life gain from Centaur Healer and Unflinching Courage . Trostani definitly has to be in the main board, because this card is a bomb in token decks! Another nice card is Intangible Virtue . So you get a 4/4 token with vigilance with Call of the Conclave for just 2 mana! But if you want to stay in the RTR block...

Well you still have a few cards that will cycle out post-rotation such as:

2x Avacyn's Pilgrim & 2x Rancor

I would put in 2x Ready / Willing , 1x Scavenging Ooze and 1xUnflinching Courage .
