Retribution of the Ancients is an extremely fast way to remove +1/+1 counters. So no, it doesn't suck. It works fine in this deck. Thanks for your time though.

cut savra. Her black sac ability is way better than her green one, and the only black creature you are really going to be consistently saccing is 1 of your 2 geraf messengers. So savra isn't worth the slot.
I'd also cut ooze flux. It's just too mana intensive, 4 mana is a lot in a deck running 20 lands...
I'd cut at least 2 blade of the bloodchief and add in 3 more lands. You have a lot of double green or black so i'd add in 3 guildgates.
You have plenty of sac outlets so I'd cut a blasting station or two for another undying creature.

Hm, Scarscale Ritual...
Pro: Gets two for two, can refresh a creature.
Con: Sorcery speed, can kill a creature, 8 draw spells might be a tad too much.
Yes, I think that's a reasonable choice, ZOMBLES127. I'll remove two of them and drop the rest if I find nothing else to throw out. Thank you very much.

Yep, Ooze Flux is a bit on the heavy side. I'll consider dropping it. Yep, I guess I could run Blasting Station as a 1-of, it's not a finisher anyways without a good mana source.
I really don't feel like cutting more than one blade though. ...Pun not intended.
Gates, hm? I liked the whole Guild Gate theme a lot, but without support they're just regular taplands. I'll put a few scrylands in the queue though, maybe some filtering too.

Dryad Arbor might make a nice addition. a land that you can sac to go bonkers with your synergeeness.
The deck is a bit slow... That is to say there are a lot of 3 drops that you kinda need to cast early. I wonder if ramp would be a good idea. Gyre Sage works for your deck, or the good ol' Birds of Paradise. they can ramp when you need it and be sacrificed when you don't need 'em any more.

Gyre sage would not give mana before turn 3, not even taking into account that it needs to evolve first. Using it to cast a three-drop would be pointless. Birds might be a good idea though, I will consider those.

I have my own Undying deck but i won't post it here like you said. A couple recommendations though. Hex Parasite is another great way to remove counters, although the ability is more expensive and only targets one creature. What about good ol' Undying Evil to save your sac engines? it does reset the counters for Champion of Lambholt and Bloodflow Connoisseur but that's better than losing them completely, right? An awesome card that can turn around any game is Killing Wave which synergizes really well with undying while wiping out your opponents life total or decimating their life total. Plus its effective with any amount of mana put into it, unlike most X spells. Just an afterthought when looking at the decklist, something really cool to put in would be a devour creature like Skullmulcher.

I've been thinking about adding another card that removes counters. Hex Parasite seems like it could fit the job: quick to get on the field, and removes more than one counter, unlike Power Conduit. Killing Wave looks very useful against overpopulated boards, I'll consider that too.
Undying Evil would be a little bit circumstantial, since I'd have to remove the counters on the targeted creature first. Skullmulcher is out of my cmc range.
Thank you for your understanding regarding the deck links. I've taken a look at your Undying deck, and I like the Idea. Maybe I can come up with a few suggestions for it.

I love it. I think I wouldn't go with the champion of lambholt though, too much of a target and it has to stick around the board to work. Easy to play around it. I would go with mogi's marauder instead, as it comes out and instantly gives advantage. It's also not a target after it does this. Of course if you're playing against decks heavy with creatures that can block the intimidated creatures, you could sideboard in the champions. Looks awesome though, +1.

Let me show you a few examples of why Champion of Lambholt is useful in several ways:
- It provides counters even when I can't sacrifice something or the opponent refuses to kill my creatures, so it can give the initial spark for and be part of a counter-producing loop with Retribution of the Ancients targeting any of my undying creatures.
- It lets me swing with huge unblockables if it survives just one turn. Ever had a Champion of Lambholt gain 9-12 counters the turn after it was cast? I get that regularly. Often supported with secondary attackers.
- It is not the most important card in the deck, but draws the paths and bolts like crazy, so my Bloodflow Connoisseurs and Blood Artists are in less danger to catch one. It being a favored target is kind of a good thing.
Judged by the basic strength in a vacuum, Mogis's Marauder might be better or not. Hard to say since they are so different. However, the synergies in this deck make Champion of Lambholt superior in every aspect.
Thank you for your comment and your suggestion. I might have to consider ensuring that it is more resilient to removal. Maybe some hexproof instant or Lightning Greaves/Swiftfoot Boots, that could also help protect the others.

It just seemed to me the deck was solid enough without it. But with the infinite looping possibilities I see why it fits into the deck very well since it's synergy is basically unmatched. Maybe you could try the marauder as a sideboard then? I feel so much that it's such an underrated card, most decks I play it in it is basically a 2/2 haste that gives the rest of your stuff haste and intimidate. Especially where you are running geralf's messenger. I'm going to try putting a homebrew of this together because I like it so much.

Hm, anthing that costs 4 mana must be really good, because it will be a dead draw in most games. Which role would Demonlord of Ashmouth fill in this deck that none of the other cards could fill?

Well, Demonlord puts the opponent under serious pressure, since it's 5 damage a turn. He is hard to block as well. They not only have to get rid of it quickly, but they have to do it at least twice. This is harder then normal to do, as he is one of your only creatures that survives Bolt. He also provides an outlet to trigger Undying on your other creatures, the best one being Geralf's Messenger. Overall he is really synergistic with the rest of your deck. In short, he is the Tarmogoyf of mono-black Undying.
