Hatching Victory: An Atla Palani, Nest Tender Naya Good Stuff Deck

Cards to help Atla Palani, Nest Tender make as many eggs as possible and get the goodstuff out of the deck and onto the battlefield.
  1. Thornbite Staff and Ashnod's Altar make the almost infinite combo where you sac eggs to Ashnod's Altar to both pay for Atla Palani, Nest Tender 's ability and trigger Thornbite Staff 's untap effect to drop all your big creatures from your deck onto the battlefield in one turn.

  2. Anointed Procession , Parallel Lives , Doubling Season , and Illusionist's Bracers to help Atla Palani, Nest Tender 's ability create more eggs every time it activates.

  3. Swiftfoot Boots and Lightning Greaves so Atla Palani, Nest Tender can start laying eggs right away.

  4. Seedborn Muse is just an incredible card, but also lets us make eggs on each opponent's turn.

  5. Nesting Dragon , Mirror Entity , and Irregular Cohort all add more eggy goodness to the board. Mirror Entity in particular has great utility in recovering from some board wipes by making all my creatures into eggs before they are destroyed.

Ways to kill our eggs and get the goodstuff out of them onto the battlefield.

  1. Skullclamp . It's a deck that's making 0/1 tokens that want to die. Why not draw some cards too.

  2. Ashnod's Altar and Phyrexian Altar are both free sac outlets that help us ramp. They also both go infinite with Atla Palani, Nest Tender and Thornbite Staff , though Phyrexian Altar needs a bit of help to do that.

  3. Blasting Station and Goblin Bombardment are also free sac outlets that deal some damage and clear some utility creatures. Similarly Perilous Forays lets us sacrifice creatures cheap (1 mana) to search for lands. High Market is also a free sac outlet, though only once a turn.

  4. Boardwipe effects from cards like: Austere Command , Blasphemous Act , Cleansing Nova , and Day of Judgment destroy our eggs with the added benefit of eliminating our opponents' threats.

  5. Terastodon can both destroy our opponent's permanents, or kill some eggs and make some elephants for us if our oponents don't have many threats on board. Other targeted removal like Beast Within and Generous Gift can do the same.

  6. In a pinch Thornbite Staff , and Zacama, Primal Calamity can ping some eggs to death, but this is an extreme last resort.

The Naya Goodstuff popping out of these eggs.

  1. Avacyn, Angel of Hope , Archetype of Endurance , and Vigor help protect our board, and make our deck slightly less vulnerable to removal and boardwipes.

  2. Blazing Archon , Void Winnower and Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger are all awful to play against and really slow/shut down whatever our opponents are trying to do.

  3. Aurelia, the Warleader , Etali, Primal Storm , Gisela, Blade of Goldknight , Godsire , Illharg, the Raze-Boar, It That Betrays , Worldspine Wurm , Zacama, Primal Calamity and Zetalpa, Primal Dawn are all big high value creatures that will end games quickly if people can't find answers for them.

  4. Also some utility creatures like Angel of Serenity for removal, Eternal Witness for recursion, Birds of Paradise , Regal Behemoth , Sakura-Tribe Elder , and Solemn Simulacrum for ramp and that draw on Solemn, and finally Samut, Voice of Dissent for that sweet sweet haste (Nice to not have to wait a full round before attacking with our big creatures, makes it way harder to remove them before they have an impact) and potentially to utap Atla Palani, Nest Tender for more eggs. We'd rather play most of these from hand than egg into them, but they give some value regardless.

The cards that help the deck run. I recognize that this deck is a little low on card draw, but I am thinking that with Atla Palani, Nest Tender 's ability to pull stuff straight out of the deck, and the need for mana to use activated abilities instead of cards in my hands it might work.

  1. Ramp: Cultivate , Farseek , Kodama's Reach , Rampant Growth , Mirrari's Wake, Smothering Tithe , and Sol Ring . It's ramp, there isn't much more to say. Growing Rites of Itlomoc and Zendicar Resurgent both ramp and offer varying levels of card advantage.

  2. Card Advantage: Most of this has already been mentioned elsewhere, but in addition to those already mentioned Sylvan Library offers the best card advantage around, and Rishkar's Expertise offers both a big burst of card advantage and lets us cast something from our hands.

  3. Removal: some removal cards were included as egg scramblers, and were mostly limited to destroy effects so that they can scramble the eggs as well as removing threats. Removal cards that were included despite not destroying because they're just very strong are Chaos Warp , Path to Exile , Sundering Growth , and of course Swords to Plowshares .

  4. Rhythm of the Wild basically read's "Creatures you control have haste" and I already talked about how good that is in this deck while discussing Samut, Voice of Dissent . Preventing creature spells from being countered is just gravy, but still great to hopefully make it a bit harder for blue players to mess us up.

  5. Utility lands: Kessig Wolf Run and Rogue's Passage are incredible to help our big creatures get through, and Mosswort Bridge is a fun way to drop a big creature onto the field for cheap.

  6. The rest is lands that make mana, the mana base could probably be improved a bit but that is a problem for another time.

I hope you like my deck. Suggestions are appreciated. However, while this is not a budget deck I do still need to be budget conscious, so I may not be able or willing to incorporate your suggestions. Also, I am not a CEDH player, and have no desire to become one, so while I would like the deck to be relatively competitive I'm not very interested in turn 4 wins, or comboing off in the early game.
