I play a twist on Selesnya aggro in standard right now and I love it, so I'm bringing it to modern with some of my favorite staple cards.

Voice of Resurgence -- VALUE. A 2/2 for 2 that leaves a buddy behind and usually gets in for a good deal of damage. Weak against sweepers, but that's usually fine because by the time there's a sweeper available, I'm ahead.

Hushwing Gryff -- Flash this guy in at opponent's EOT for a beatdown. That's just good there. Or, I can stop shenanigans from a Pod or other nasty tier deck. He's a Torpor Orb on a stick. Sure, Path to Exile and Lightning Bolt get him, but Torpor Orb doesn't SMACK EVERYONE IN THE FACE FOR 2 DAMAGE EVERY TURN. WE'RE AGGRESSIVE HERE. CAPITAL LETTERS AND FAST CREATURES ARE MY THING, MAN.

Aven Mindcensor -- Hushwing Gryff's brutha from anutha mutha. He stops fetches, which is always useful, kills tutor combos, and I can flash him on an end step or to block and he always does work. Great card. I JUST REALLY LIKE SMACKING PEOPLE IN THE FACE WITH 2/1 FLYING THINGS. AGGRO. GET THERE.

Scavenging Ooze -- Spits on your recursion and gives me life. I'll take it.

Grand Abolisher -- HATE ON A STICK. NO COUNTERSPELLS, NO EOT BOLTS, NOTHING. CALL ME WHEN YOU STOP CRYING ABOUT IT. AND HE'S GONNA SMACK YOU IN THE FACE A FEW TIMES. SUCK IT.

Soldier of the Pantheon -- Abrupt Decay. Terminate, Voice of Resurgence. THIS GUY DON'T GIVE A DAMN. HE'LL FIGHT THEM ALL IN REAL LIFE. GET ON HIS LEVEL. Plus, gaining life when I'm smacking face so much is awesome. 1 white for this guy? I love it.

Eidolon of Rhetoric -- What's storm? Oh, you wanted to get value out of your Snapcaster Mage? Too bad. F I G H T M E.

Path to Exile and Oblivion Ring -- Removal is great. Path is ridiculously overpowered. O-Ring hits Emrakul. What more do you need?
