Works on getting Iona, Sheild of Emeria or Blazing Archon (possibly even both) on turn 1. With Dark Rituals, Entomb s and an Exhume or Reanimate, sometimes even an Animate Dead, that is easy, making for turn one indestructibility from cards like Goblin Guide, and other haste cards, or stopping your opponents draw and counter spells (Control being the kryptonite of this deck). It then works on turn two stuff like Avacyn, Angel of Hope taking out a turn 2 Doom Blade, Go for the Throat or even Terminate.
