I competitively play Dual Commander. I have been wanting to build a viable deck for this. Why not use rocks to get their stuff out when you reveal them?

Why are you playing lands that tap for any color?

You can use mana as any color to cast their cards. I put the any color lands in to activate any abilities of their creatures.

The reason I don't run a whole lot of rocks

  1. THEY have rocks IF they're running a high curve. If their aggro, I'd rather be laying down on-curve bodies.

  2. I need to consistently be on curve turns 1-3 (at this point we are an aggro deck). Once I've gotten to that point, and am wider than my opponent, I can make 2nd main phase decisions of using reds burn as removal, or use their stuff.

It's unique, because it's aggro with late game, "don't always go all out" mindset

I understand that now. Those are some good points.

This looks like a blast AIR deck! How effectively has it tested out thus far?

With the change to 20 life I would suggest adding in stuff like Lava Spike, Stoke the Flames (you've got the creatures for it), and Fireblast (for a finishing touch).

I also think that you should consider Slagstorm, because it is face burn if you want, or it is mass removal if you need. That sort of utility is always friendly.

I love it though mate! I think it's a really strong list, and I'm eager to hear from you how it's tested out so far? I've got a Purphoros list, that I haven't currently got uploaded, that is tuned for duel, but with 20 life the new thing I think I might try a cheaper commander... I love how this list always has the option of your general's ability if you run out of steam, but you've built it as an AIR deck first and foremost. Love it.

The_Believer_Of_Lies those look like great suggestions and I will test them thoroughly.

I was mainly plates ting against decks built for 30 life and got some pretty cool plays, i.e. t2 primeval Titan for valakut and and vesuva. Certain aggro decks are a hard to beat, brimaz is very difficult to overcome.

would love to take a look at your purpvorous deck

T2 Primetime?! How did you do that? Sounds amazing! Where did you get the mana from??

I've just uploaded my attempt at an AIR Zurgo deck... Not sure about Zurgo though, just because he's a little bit "done". He's just such great early game! AIR needs a good early game. Have a look! http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/zurgo-red-dead/

T1. Mountain, Chrome Mox, grenzo.

T2. Mountain, Lion's Eye Diamond. Swing with grenzo reveal prime time, pop "lion's eye diamond" to cast it.

now I have no idea what Dual Commander is but I run a really nice Goblin Factory that might work with this deck. I also have another deck that I have yet to put up that works with Zada, Hedron Grinder and pump spells.

Dual commander/French edh is an edh/commander variant that is 1v1 and has its own ban list and is played to 20 life.

So you hit land between 30 and 40% of the time (higher against some Jenara lists I have seen) and the first ability is useless. Do you even need the card advantage in an aggro list like this? Do you think you are even going to hit the kind of cards that you are going to find useful and want to cast? It depends on your local meta, but personally I doubt it.

There are just strictly better options for a mono-red aggro or goblin tribal commander. My advice for competitive play is that you should steer clear of political commanders in a 1v1 format. But if you are just interested in building a list for fun, this actually looks like a pretty neat deck list.
