How do you know I didn't really play in them? If I say I did, then I did. You have to learn to trust people yeaGO! and learn how to take people for their word. I used to be that way, not trusting people. One day I woke up friendless and hopeless, not remembering a thing from the night before. Only a few needle-pricked dots on my arm told of what my night had consisted of. It was then that I realized that I needed to reach out, to stop viewing people as objects, but as people. I did go to those FNMs. And I can prove it. I don't appreciate it when people assume that I am a liar or a corrupt individual, because I am not.

The local shop here in Ames, IA is having an FNM tonight for holiday reasons. A thursday night! And plus, when I stated 12/20/10, I meant 12/19/10. Obviously it was a mistake, but now we will never know because certain people like to jump to conclusions and erase valuable data. But that is how life goes. One must learn to not hold grudges, but to understand that people will be people. I have seen a lot and experienced enough disappointment that it really doesn't faze me to much these days. Its not that I am angry at the world and its people, but that I am willing to take the good with the bad. Bring it on world.

I doubted this deck, until Michael Jackson brought it over and just dominated the local meta. Until Chuck Norris got pissed tapped 3 mountains, casted roundhouse kicker that Haze Frog was not strong enough to prevent. Michael Jackson then retreated with a moonwalk out the backdoor bluffing with a fistful of jace, the mind sculptors.

branflakes, i find it hard to believe that the game you described, while funny and entertaining, ever happened. If it had, I would have known about it, believe me.

I think you might be implying that my deck is as ridiculous as a game of magic between Michael Jackson and Chuck Norris. Absolutely not. I will fight against this comparison to the bitter end.

The sanctity of this website is at stake. The more you tread on the decks of honest, hard-working MTG players, the less traffic this site will see and eventually it will be overtaken by the sites with more gracious members.

I don't see why no one is taking this deck seriously. It has proven to be a viable archetype in today's outrageous meta. I wouldn't be surprised if some pro player were to steal the idea and win pro tour. Really. Its happened before. Its the way the MTG world works. People just stand on each-others shoulders, trying to catch the golden snitch. But I'm afraid that snitch will never be caught. Not until the people stuck on the bottom of the stack topple the tower and reach, reach, reach with their hearts.

@LegendInc: Oh that's cool. Mayhem is a good place to play.

I don't usually address people who can't spell, and this is one of those usual occasions. I never address people that have no understanding of proper respect or conduct and this is one of those times as well. I think someone might be trying to "get to me", but I just can't decipher through the gibberish and writing similar to that which one finds written in bathroom stalls or, dare I say it, 4chan image threads.

Who does one blame? The Parents? The environment? The peers? The cold-blooded, physical abuse? I'm not sure myself. But I do know that only time and discipline can suppress the anti-social behavior that one grew up with.

Permhole96, i would like to thank you for asserting your eloquent and intelligible language into this thread in the form of writing. It is as though your words are a paint brush and my life is the canvas. I wish i could have you, permhole96, as the narrator of my life. No, not just that, i want you to be the artist of my life. The way you handle the paintbrush is ever so beautiful and colorful. You, sir, are an artisan of this language, and i am but a humble apprentice.

On a sidenote, permhole96, i would also like to suggest that while you narrate my life, you could provide subtitles. That way everyone can spend their time studying and deciphering your innovative perspective on the English language. If i could be so honored with the choice of having you or Morgan Freeman narrate my life, i would choose you 10 times over. Your creative use of the English language inspires me to live my life. My eyes have seen a vision now thanks to your writing, and this vision calls me to spread the Good News. The Good News that is the language you speak and write. I must go and spread the Good Word.

His name is permhole. Who WOULDN'T want him to narrate your life?

You know what? Everyone here needs to remember it's almost Christmas. That means we need to appreciate the fact that MTG has cards called Steamflogger Boss , meaning that wizards hates us all, and is simply bent on destroying us with our own hate. All because of that card. Why? Why would wizards create a card with a useless ability? The answer, my friends, is permhole.

Permhole, please explain why you created a card that I opened in a pack, expecting Tarmogoyf and instead getting steamflogger boss? The answer, my friends, is clear.

Please keep criticism of Steamflogger Boss to a minimum as he is one of the site's primary sponsors. If he takes his business to another more glamorous website this whole project is done for.

i have a possible newb question does Leyline of Sanctity cancel out and opponents Leyline of Sanctity like if i want to cast lightning bolt on you and we both had one what would happen would your leyline counter it and mine do nothing since it would be targeting the spell thats what i think would happen

December 24, 2010 4:51 a.m.

@hipster515 he said he's from Ames, Iowa in an earlier post.

use logic or get off the internet and go be an "individual", quoting far off philosophers whilst shopping for unique clothing options at your local Salvation Army or Thrift Store you edgy, counter culture, progressive politic-loving, indie art & rock loving person you.

hipster515 says... #24

well legendinc i would say you just gave me a summary of my life. i normally get my clothing at the sal army and i always am drinking tea and talking philosophy. but you did forget about the music. i would tell you about the bands i like but i doubt you would know them. but i also like to ride my swave one speed bicycle around town and when im not picking up chicks at my local coffee house im spending time at home listening to my record player drinking cheap beer with masterpeez and eliteplanswalker.

But i will not say anything more because apparently you know all about my life already. but back to this deck. Possibly run some temple bell for some card draw i made a copy of this deck and it worked out very well. but i just don't understand why this conversation on this deck keeps getting out of hand. nobody on this site can constructivly criticise this deck

December 24, 2010 10:50 a.m.

masterpeez says... #25

Temple Bell lets your opponent draw as well. Who would want that? i have lots of draw already. Perhaps its mostly late-game draw, but hey, its in the late-game that one realizes that one needs more cards, not early game.
