If Commander had been a format in 2000 after the release of Prophecy, Dual Nature / Food Chain / Lifeline could have been an archetype.

If a loop with Hazezon Tamar , Dual Nature and Lifeline could be established, the "Legend rule" at the time would have made any sort of sacrifice outlet to take advantage of the token generation extremely powerful: "420.5e If two or more Legends or Legendary permanents with the same name are in play, all except the one with the earliest timestamp are put into in their owners' graveyards. This is called the "Legend rule." In the event of a tie for earliest timestamp, each Legend with the same name is put into its owner's graveyard." - Comprehensive Rules April 23, 1999
