Yeah man Silent arbiter with maze of ith out is pretty solid in most situations :) it also makes the other kozilek (the great distortion) unblockable. Yeah voltaic construct with karn silver golem and any artifact that taps for 3 is infinite mana, And once you have infinite mana you can Activate all activated abilities of all artifacts in our decks infinite times, basically making us unstoppable except for split second cards and end the turn effects :)

And thanks for the compliment on my deck :) its my deck on paper and damn did it take some getting :)

Karn has so much utility as well, if you add mycosynth lattice you can turn peoples lands into 0/0 artifact creatures who die due to state based effects. so you can kill peoples lands for 1 mana each, also with mycosynth lattice out with darksteel forge and nev disk you can destroy every single permanent you dont control that doesnt have indestructible.

Also with mycosynth lattice you can give Kozilek unblockable with tower of the magistrate, ( Which you can also use to unequip equipment from other peoples creatures, or stop them from being equipped.)

Also with karn you can turn peoples equipment (like lightning greaves) into creatures and the equipment automatically unequips, I also recommend akromas memorial quite highly, it makes Kozi An absolute monster, (along with all the other titans we run) plus you can animate it with karn to have a 7/7 with tons of good keywords :) having a Kozilek with Flying, first strike, vigilance, haste, trample, protection from black and protection from red. has been devastating for my opponents every time :)

how are the urza tron lands playing out for you? I play Mono blue tron and red green tron in modern and i normally love them, I tried them in my kozi list once and i just never seemed to get it together, 9 times out of ten they were basically just cool basics, I run the cloudpost lands instead, because i run vesuva and thespian stage anyway. also glimmer post has some awesome synergy with storm cauldron once you have a couple cloudposts out (using vesuva and thespian stage of course) to gain tons of life, especially with alhammarets archive out.

Speaking of alhammarets archive, i wasnt sure about it at first but after playing with it in my deck ive seen how strong it is, casting our general and drawing 8 cards is awesome, it also goes infinite with sensei's divining top and cloud key,Plus swinging with wurmcoil and gaining 12 is great, or gaining 8 with batterskull, or equipping batterskull to kozi and gaining 32 Mwahahahaha.

Also if you run metalworker then you should 100% run staff of domination, if you have metalworker, staff of domination (sod) and 3 artifacts in hand, you gain infinite life, infinite mana, and infinite card draw, if you have karn out as well you get infinite untaps, It also gives you twice as many untaps with clock of omens, at the price of 1 mana per extra untap, it has so much utility its insane, tapping down your opponents creatures every turn when you have heaps of mana rocks and unwinding clock is strong too :) or using it to untap kuldoltha forgemaster to get extra tutor effects is good too :)

Sorry for the long message man its just good to talk to another Kozilek edh player.

No cards in hand? Did somebody say Lupine Prototype?

December 15, 2016 8:43 p.m.

Epickoolaid Actually this deck always has cards in hand Check out my List My Kozilek list we have an Insane amount of mana ramp and can consistently cast kozilek by turn 4 or 5. then he draws us 4. also i have a ton of infinite draw combos.

December 15, 2016 9:20 p.m.

Honestly, Lupine Prototype is just too vanilla for this deck, though I do love the card.

A cheap vanilla 5/5 beater seems like a moot point when I can cast a Titan on turn 5 on average.

December 15, 2016 10:30 p.m.

Also, basically what TronIsloveTronislife said, except the infinite combos. Only one I have at the moment is Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth , and that's more for the pieces themselves than the combo.

December 15, 2016 10:36 p.m.

Actually you can also get infinite card draw and infinite annihilator. with basalt monolith + Rings of brighthearth + Strionic Resonator + Voltaic key + Kozilek

You can also get infinite card draw, infinite life and infinite grave yard and deck manipulation if you replace strionic resonator with trading post.

There are more but i have got to go to FNM haha :) have a close look at the Interaction between Basalt Monolith + Rings of Brighthearth + Voltaic key and im sure you will figure them out :)

December 16, 2016 12:21 a.m.

That interaction with Voltaic Key is just nuts. Among a few other straight up broken interactions, Sensei's Divining Top ends up reading "T: Draw X cards, where X is the number of cards you feel like drawing. Put Sensei's Divining Top on top of its owner's library."

A friend of mine has a Kozilek, Butcher of Truth deck and I was surprised at how brutal it was. +1 for sure

play darksteel/blightsteel colossus they are fantastic kuldotha forgemaster targets and just good colorless bombs in general +1!

December 24, 2016 10:10 a.m.

You know, I have a Blightsteel Colossus that I used to run in here, but at the moment I'm running it as a win-con in my Hanna deck.

I'll think about getting it back in here, because I do love Blightsteel.

Darksteel Colossus is cool, but there's a certain power level I need in my huge beaters for this deck, and while it's strong, it's no Blightsteel or Emrakul.

It That Betrays? It might just be a win-more, but stealing all your opponents' things is fun.

December 31, 2016 10:37 p.m.

Grantley91

Yeah It that Betrays is way too weak for a deck like this. if you have 12 mana then there are just better things you can be doing with it.

Its definitely a win more card that expends more resources then it will create for us.

Its great in reanimator decks though :)

December 31, 2016 10:48 p.m.

Not of This World. I assume someone's probably mentioned it beforehand, but either way I'd like to know why not?

January 26, 2017 2:57 p.m.

I mean, I suppose I could, but the thing is, this deck almost seems to actually benefit from people using removal spells on Kozilek, because every time I cast him, he tends to both pay for his next casting and he keeps drawing me more and more. The long game of this deck is so overwhelming, it doesn't really matter as much how early I swing, and usually when I'm forced to start swinging late, I'm usually doing a Strionic Resonator + Clock of Omens wombo combo to literally make opponents' whole boardstates vanish.

Have you come up with a solution for Control Magic? I am building a Kruphix, God of Horizons deck around control, clone, and counter.

thegigibeast says... #21

Being another Kozilek player I can answer you control is not really a big concern...

  • We have Homeward Path to return control of creatures to their owners.

  • If another player will take control of Kozilek, well, everyone will turn against this player because Kozilek is not something we can let go, no matter who controls it. It will get removed then we will be able to cast it again, drawing more and more!!!

I have a few questions:

What do you do against mass artifact removal?

Also can I ask why Mirrorworks is in here?

March 17, 2017 4:29 p.m.

NewHorizons: Honestly, the best way to fight mass artifact removal in this deck is simply to out-race it. This deck can potentially drop the hammer on someone faster than they can go for their Bane of Progress/Vandalblast/Merciless Eviction or whatever.

That said, if I can't do that, it tends to hurt a hell of a lot. I do have Null Brooch and Kozilek, the Great Distortion to maybe catch something, and Warping Wail always makes for a fun response, but those can't help me every time. It's definitely a notable weakness, but honestly I don't find that it's as much of a glaring problem as it looks.

And Mirrorworks is here for the purpose of making more Doubling Cubes, Blinkmoth Urns, or whatever happens to be in my hand that I'd like two of. It definitely helps my game plan out when I find myself stalled out at 6 mana and I manage to dig up a mana rock, but I'll admit it does tend to become more of a win-more card if I'm already doing fine. I like win-more though, so it's still here.

ENZU says... #24

I like the card I can just similarly never find a really effective place for it. Cheers. Ever thought about Soul of New Phyrexia? Could be a decent substitute and would help with that weakness.
