Most are, in some way or another. Discard/reanimate is pretty much how Sed rolls. I'm also trying to keep in a little multiplayer control with cards like Propaganda to keep attackers at bay, and Exquisite Blood (swapped in last night, decklist not yet updated) to gain life back once my opponents get feisty, and to offset cards like Phyrexian Arena, Read the Bones, and pain and fetch lands (once I acquire more)... assuming I find ways to incorporate them.

Technically, I could even Purphoros, God of the Forge + Exquisite Blood just to aggravate my opponents even more than just Purp himself.

casey, I'm running the Archivist, and later tonight before I play I'm gonna grab another Ghoulcaller's Bell, since I can't find the one I used to use in my Anafenza, the Foremost deck just to pick on the Karador, Ghost Chieftain player. I might even have to dig that Altar of the Brood back out. The beauty of those two artifacts is that once I get a Trinket Mage, he can tutor them both!

I wish I could run multiple Void Maws in this deck (another cards I had to pull from Fenz), cuz reanimating from exile in a Sedris deck seems broken.

But Void Maw can't just bring back all the creatures that are exiled with unearth, right? It just works if you unearth something, then that creature dies, correct? So do you use some sort of sac outlet to go along with it?

casey You know, I completely missed that (about unearthing mirror-mad). I did a rules search and finally figured out why it works that way. I run run clones and Necrotic Ooze anyways, so I guess I didn't think about it much.

thewyzman Purphoros, God of the Forge is pretty good, but don't forget about Flayer of the Hatebound or Warstorm Surge. They let you hit creatures with the damage.

1empyrean yeah, Mirror-Mad Phantasm is still a great card in Sedris decks, just have to be careful you don't activate it incorrectly and just exile it for no reason. Flayer of the Hatebound is an absolute monster in here. I run the clones and Great Whale + Peregrine Drake, so once I start unearthing with Sedris I can just usually just bring back most or all of my yard and start to roll from there. The Flayer just lets you usually nuke at least one opponent in the process.

casey That is how Void Maw works. I actually don't see any sac outlets.

Altar of Dementia or anything else will do, really.

With void maw, the way I read it, once you've unearthed a creature it goes into exile, then you can use him to put it back into the yard to unearth again?

Void Maw's replacement effect only gets around unearth if the creature would go to the graveyard. Anywhere else, and it doesn't trigger which means unearth's replacement effect exiles the creature. Either way, the creature never actually hits the graveyard.

Also, Void Maw's second ability is linked to the first ability, and it can only bring back creatures exiled by its own ability. Just make sure you get all your creatures back into their graveyards if it looks like Void Maw will die, or they will be exiled for good.

Good call there, I'm new to the card and hadn't caught that as many times as I thought I'd read it. Oh well, I mean, I guess it's good, but doesn't feel as consistent as I'd hoped. Thanks for the catch, I'll find something more valuable.

My second order of cards came in today, so I've finally got Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker now, along with Necrotic Ooze, Mind Control, Jace, the Living Guildpact, Jace, Architect of Thought, Exhume, Buried Alive, Animate Dead, Conjurer's Closet, and Brainstorm

I am pretty sure that you aren't going to find a good reason NOT to run Void Maw. Aside from interacting with unearth, it keeps your opponent's creatures out of their graveyard and stops all sorts of nasty triggered abilities. Attacking for lethal isn't too hard either.

But with cards that copy or reanimate from enemy graveyards for the traitor theme, I kinda want enemy corpses... but I see what you mean

Extract from Darkness fits perfectly in here.

Well that looks fun.

If budget permits Sneak Attack is something I would use for any reanimator that has red in it. Also, and I can;t figure out why everyone forgot about it, you could add Havengul Lich and Feldon of the Third Path to the list for added reanimator shenanigans.

I've had Havengul Lich in the original decklist, but was turned off a bit because it doesn't say you can spend mana as if it were any color. There's a fair amount of green in my meta, but isn't there a new rule that lets you tap for mana of any color now, where before, tapping for another color outside your colors made it colorless? That would increase his allure. Can he reanimate at instant speed? It says You may cast.. this turn, so I'd guess so.

I've been on the fence with Feldon, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to at least have it on hand.

At some point, I have several dozen cards that are just a mere suggestion or two from earning a board spot, so there's TONS of competition for slots right now, and I'm hoping to find time to break them down.

In other news, I went 0-2 last night (against a bf/gf couple, effectively a 2-on-1 Vs. Me, with the girl playing Silumgar, the Drifting Death, and the guy Yeva, Nature's Herald, in which I was the first person eliminated each game. I forget the exact cards, but it was mono-green taking me out both times. The first game was a token-pump-swarm where a simple Propaganda or enough mana for an overloaded Cy Rift would've saved me. Oh well, at least I got to Deadeye Navigator+Clone an opponent's Prime Speaker Zegana a few times for about 20 cards, that was fun... Slave of Bolas'ing a Reef Worm... and late game Dread Returning a Sepulchral Primordial.

Havengul Lich doesn't change when you can cast a creature spell.

That "Pay to cast .. this turn" sure makes it sounds like you could effectively flash one in at any time. It says he'll gain their activated abilities, but does that ignore triggered (ETB) abilities? If he can't mimic ETB effects, he's a lot less powerful here.

Hi!updated mine, check it, cut the number of creatures al and some contro/draw cards.faster and solid than before(sorry for my bad english jeje)http://tappedout.net/mtg-decks/sedris-the-traitor-king-mid-range/

i suggest you to use teferi's veil, flameshadow conjuring and sneak atack, they are pretty strong with ETB effects

Replaced Exquisite Blood with Propaganda since opponents are attacking me instead of eachother, and Prop also prohibits Craterhoof Behemoth+token swarm shenanigins.

casey says... #21

Havengul Lich does not allow creatures to be cast with flash, unless they already have it themselves. Much the same way that using Snapcaster Mage on a sorcery won't allow it to be cast at instant speed.

Why all the "this turn" description, of you're only allowed to cast creature spells on your turn?

June 2, 2016 12:11 p.m.

casey says... #23

I believe it's similar to cards that state "until end of turn." Plus, if the creature has flash or you have something like Leyline of Anticipation, it could still be done on your opponent's turn.

Just added a list of a few dozen VERY deserving cards to the end of the description, it's just a matter of balancing, and finding the room for them. I need y'all's help! :)
