Haha thanks! I think the picture with Gollum seals the deal.

That's fair. He's been okay, but I've found myself using him sparingly because he's a little slow. I had a second copy and I might bring him back in. Two was generally enough since I have so many ways to get him with grisly salvage and commune with the gods.

I love the deck. +1 for the name alone. :)
I love the sideboard, very meticulously built. Some more Thoughtseize might be a great idea, since it is an amazing card at all stages of the game and powerful against control (good on you for the Mistcutter Hydra on that note). Have you considered Gaze of Granite at all? Would be great for weenies, but then again Bile Blight also does well in that role. Vraska the Unseen might be a worthy replacement for your removal slot. And she gives you a sick win-con.
I also encourage you to find a spot for Lotleth Troll , as he is incredible. Your board looks pretty darned good as is, though. Great job!

Thanks! I like thoughtseize in the mainboard. It really lets me know what I'm up against and I can use both the whip and the deathrite shamans to gain life back. I don't like Gaze of Granite because it destroys my permanents as well and I don't gain as much from it. I think Bile Blight is good for removal purposes, though if I am playing a weenie deck I sideboard in abrupt decays to deal with the weenies before they get out of hand. Vraska is another good option and a great card but I don't think she fits the theme of the deck since I can't scavenge for her with any of my self-mill cards (such as Commune with the Gods
) and she doesn't add anything once she is in the graveyard. She gives me another win-con, but generally I use Jared as a secondary win-con if direct damage won't work.
Lotleth troll is good and I go back and forth about putting him in. The regeneration and trample are awesome, I just don't like the discard a card to add a +1 counter because card advantage is so important. He has been useful in the trample and regeneration aspects. I just put in the herald of torment to see how it goes instead of lotleth troll. The other reason I took him out is he is in the two-drop spot which is already flooded because on turn two I need to start milling myself with Grisly Salvage
and the like. I need to playtest this deck some more to see how it goes, honestly. I've been tinkering with it and need to see how it stacks up against other decks. I think I will move a bile blight into the side in place of the last whip as an extra layer of removal, though.
Thanks for the suggestions!

No problem!
I think you've made compelling arguments for all your card choices. Bile Blight has incredible removal utility, as it can even kill an indestructible in certain situations.

I typically run around 23 mana but for this deck I usually don't miss many land drops because of grisly salvage, deathrite shamans, elvish mystics, and satyr wayfinders. Otherwise I definitely would!
