Ahaha. Combo deck in Standard. Let's do this.

The idea is to ramp into huge amounts of mana and win off of a few different combos. Traumatize + Duskmantle Guildmage's first ability is win condition #1; Jace, Memory Adept's 0 + Duskmantle Guildmage's first ability is win condition #2; Traumatize followed by Jace, Memory Adept is win condition #3.


Axebane Guardian. Sylvan Caryatid and Gatecreeper Vine are your basic defender ramp cards.

Hover Barrier is a hefty body that stops fliers too.

Diabolic Tutor grabs combo pieces.

Thoughtseize removes annoyances to the deck before they ever hit the field.

Jace, Memory Adept provides draw power outside of being a win condition.

Jace, Architect of Thought slows down aggro and helps get stuff from the deck.


Akroan Horse, replacing Gatecreeper Vine , is there to provide chump blockers against aggro.

Essence Scatter comes in against aggro and midrange, to slow those decks down so they take slightly longer to murder me.

Erebos, God of the Dead counters lifegain which disrupts any combo with Duskmantle Guildmage.

Negate kills counterspells against other blue decks.

Also, Slaughter Games . Damnit.
