Grahamatica thanks, I just added caverns because I had them, they aren't really needed.

LOL, I just did a similar deck with your ... ROX .. My*r "Precious" Retriever (TURN 2 WIN)!
But with a different mechanical ...

What would you consider replacing the Caverns with?

Zantherrr its a tough call, it really makes sure up you combo through control, but if i had to say anything, maybe a man land like Mutavault or Tomb of Urami maybe even better then that, is some land that lets you draw for extra pieces Geier Reach Sanitarium or Mikokoro, Center of the Sea. I am currently running another version on MTGO that has blue in it with sanitarium that seems pretty good.
Thanks for the comment!

thought about using the pay a life for any color mana lands that I have.
Also quick question: how fast is the deck usually? What turn doe you most often pull off the win? Thinking of making this my modern deck while not having to dip into the usual modern decks but have something of similar power that is unusual but works.

@ Zantherrr Im glad you like the deck, as for how fast it is, I am not sure with this version, as i said i was running a version with blue for fabricate and transmute, and i have gotten it to go off on turn 3-5 consistently but there are times where it can stall as with most combo decks.
looking more into it, I could probably cut blue and add Shred Memory instead

Thats so gross. the only way to stop your turn 1. especailly if you go first. Would be Surgical Extraction, when the first myr hits graveyard. But i like the deck.

Interesting deck, and I like that it can be budget by removing some of the more expensive lands. I'm wondering what your thoughts are for including Shred Memory? Seems that you have a little graveyard hate or can tutor out a Haruspex/Explorer if needed, but not sure if there's anything I'm missing?

Mongol Shred Memory actually searches for 2 mana cards so it can search up any combo piece.
HungryMid Glad you like it, its a blast to play.
Thanks for the comments.

Ya, going to try and build this soon. I will go ahead and keep the fetch lands but replace the Cavern of Souls with either City of Brass or Mana Confluence since I actually have a set of the Confluence. Still not crazy about the fetch lands but they are too useful to not run.

Zantherrr I glad you like it, but I would suggest Geier Reach Sanitarium as a one of or so. The more I play with it the more I like it.

Cool combo. Sadly, Grapeshot does not set it off, because you casted it once, it just keeps infinitely flickering. Other than that, awesome deck

@xtopazinferno im not sure what you mean. Grapeshot works, it counts the number of times that Myr Retriever was cast for free, in the second video i have a kill with it.

I've modified version of this deck I've come up with is Heartless Flame (stupid site doesn't seem to recognize the deck, so is in my Profile). Seems like as long as I have half the combo in the opening hand or close I can have a T4 kill, with a possible T3 on rare occations, and with the changes it sadly does change from a T1 to a T2 kill instead (I believe).

Random upvote floating through, really cool deck and I may try it (while substituting the manabase bc I'm a poor student <.<)
This kinda throws me back to my first modern deck, also B/R infinite combo... Although this looks like a lot of fun, potentially killing your opponent before he can do anything :D
...
I already see my friends hating me lol.

This deck looks amazing! Finally a cool deck that uses Heartless Summoning!

in the videos you're not playing any tier 1 or tier 2 decks. Why not?

hunkers yes you need 2 retrievers for the combo but there is a lot of ways to find the combo pieces. and I just took those 2 videos quickly, i haven't had much time to play lately.

Cool twist on the usual combo! never seen a turn one version of this!

Jafjaf5 Glad you like it! The Turn one while possible is super unlikely. It is fairly consistent at turn 4-5.

Seems fun and not too complicated. Apart from land, its also fairly budget too
