Redhorn Your deck's looking much more efficient since the last time I commented. Good removal and better early drops. I still think 21 lands is way too little for as many 5CC drops you have. Keep up the good work.

Just another note on mana: I read you're new to Magic. It's vitally important to understand mana is the base of your deck - not spells. If you have the best spells in the world they mean little or nothing without the right kind/amount of mana. Just peaking at this deck I would say at least 24 lands.

If you had ramp or card draw it would be different. There are ways to help if you get a lot of mana, however. Utility lands like Vault of the Archangel would be a great 1 of.

There may be others with good ideas, too. :)

I love Orzhov-flavored decks :)
My favorite Orzhov card of all times is Souls of the Faultless. It's often impossible to get through it, and in multiplayer games it's a solid deterrent. Would fit nicely with your theme.

thanks for your suggestions LJS1911. I was actually thinking the same thing about High Priest of Penance lol.

hey Askani28 thanks for that suggestion. I agree with you. That card will fit nicely in this deck!

Now if you're playing multiplayer with friends (in which case awesome, this deck is awesome there) then Id recommend 1 Debt to the Deathless. It fits the theme and is a crazy wincon late game. If you didn't immediately win, you'll have so much life that it won't matter.

Also, you have 1 too many High Priest of Penance (3 main + 2 side = 5)

Redhorn Looking great. Keep it up. I'm interested to know how it's doing in your games and which decks you're playing against!

lol PegasusBishop, thanks for pointing that out. I was rearranging some stuff I forgot to get rid of a few of those. Thanks for your suggestion. Debt to the Deathless would be a great card.

When it comes to a creature base, I start with 16 4x. I'd go with Soul Warden/Suture Priest, Cartel and Blood Artist, Some 3 drop, and then Obzedat and Blood Baron, and Archangel. Basically getting the consistency in 4x is what you wanna work towards. Since the infinite loop.is an alt win con, you wanna be ale to disrupt the opponent every turn, and then finish off with killing. Along with Blood Artist, I suggest Damnation too. The more people on the board will destroy them.

thanks MentorOfTheMeek. Yeah I agree 4x of creatures is better but I love the religious flavor of a lot of these cards lol. Ill see how it plays with your suggestions as I already have those cards.

MentorOfTheMeek i do like the Damnation and Blood Artist combo.

MentorOfTheMeek said it best if you want the deck consistent and more competitive. I'm trying to think of the best way you can do this while keeping with your original flare. Unfortunately, too often the most competitive are the most unoriginal because, all if not most of it's been done. : /

I'm not sure if your familiar with Aristocrat/Human Orcov decks. They're very good, sometimes inexpensive, and fun to play for beginners especially.

I'll shoot you a link if I get around to posting my Aristocrat deck. You might get some ideas.

Send in the Clowns: Mardu Aristocrats

This is the Mardu version. It does come in Orcov and Abzan, too. The idea is a lot of creatures almost all 4x.

Of course, your going more for a weenie life-gain deck which are really good too. I wanted you to see creature decks almost always run a bunch of 4 of's. :)

Karoo lands are pretty crap in a deck which isn't broken. Don't use Orzhov Basilica.

More as a late game thing if your match gets drawn out for too long, Debt to the Deathless, with any amount of x more than 3 it does work.

Also you do have to pay a tithe to the church but if you don't...

Thanks Coinman1863. That card will fit nicely. Just need to find where lol.

Take out Exquisite Blood because you are more likely gain more life, than deal damage to an opponent. I personally would rather have this take game hard hitter as a 1 of than one that gives you a 1 in 60 chance to trigger an infinite combo.
