2nd at WNM 2-0-1 —Sept. 14, 2016

2-0 Recycled Dragons

This was my partner's deck. I had a perfect draw against it.

Got Stitcher's Graft out on Turn 1 and Sylvan Advocate out on Turn 2, which meant I had a 5/6 Creature on the field by Turn 3.

Gisela the Borken Blade came out on Turn 4 and Archangel Avacyn  Flip swooped in for kill on Turn 6.

Second game I merged Gisela, the Broken Blade  Meld and Bruna, the Fading Light  Flip  Meld into Brisela, Voice of Nightmares  Flip  Meld  Meld. That's the first time I have ever done that in a Tournament. Needless to say that was pretty much the end of that game. Poor Argeaux.

2-0 Mirror Match

our decks were virtually identical! except that he didn't have Stitcher's Graft. that meant I was able to get my Creatures bigger than his. I ended up overpowering him in both games.

He switched decks after this game, which I found quite lol worthy.

1-2 Tokens

I had a bad draw first game. He removed the couple of Creatures I had, then swamped the board with Tokens.

Second game I was able to put a merged Brisela, Voice of Nightmares  Flip  Meld  Meld on the field. He spent a long time looking at Brisela, then scooped when he realised he couldn't play any spells with 3 CMC or less.

in the third game he was able to manipulate Hangarback Walker to bring out Thopters early on. He was then able to make them 3/3s using Gideon, Ally of Zendikar and Nissa, Voice of Zendikarfoil. I had nothing to deal with them.

Brisela, Voice of Nightmares  Flip  Meld  Meld is so much fun to make. It is truly a game changer.

Glad to hear that the deck is working the way you want it to! I piloted my mono white humans deck to 4th place at gameday last Sunday, but I feel it could be better, i.e. it needs more aggression. I decided to add red and drop some of the higher cmc cards out. I would definitely recommend running Repel the Abominable...it has saved my butt a few times and is worth the inclusion. Also, if going up against targeted removal, try Center Soul. Card is cheap, good sideboard tech and is still inin standard for a little while longer.

Thanks for the feedback, paulbmoore1980

I know about Center Soul but I tried a version of this deck with that and other protection spells such as Eerie Interlude, and it just didn't work.

Archangel Avacyn  Flip usually gives me enough protection at key points in the game.

You've sold me on Repel the Abominable. Putting that in now.

Yeah, Repel put some work in for me. I had put it in my sideboard and boarded it in during the last round I played against B/G Elves. It was a swarm type deck and in my 2nd game my opponent had about 6 creatures out by turn 4. He swung with everyone and then cast Foul-Tongue Shriek to which I responded with Repel...saving me from taking about 15 damage. I still lost that match, but I would not have been able to put up decent fight without casting it cause I would have been dead.
