Maybeboard

"How long can I keep doing this? Burning the old me, to make a new one?"

This deck is the current incarnation of my first EDH deck. This deck has evolved drastically over the course of the last half a year I've been playing the game (as of writing this). It has come a long way since the humble little deck I cobbled together with pieces from the Aminatou precon, the Orzhov Guild Kit, and whatever other cards I had on hand to make the deck somewhat functional. Originally, Teysa, Orzhov Scion was at the helm as commander, but this deck was designed to work with quite a few of the included Orzhov-colored commanders on the list, such as Teysa Karlov and Tymna the Weaver + Ravos, Soultender. Ultimately Athreos, God of Passage is who I've selected as my primary commander due to his low casting cost, built-in indestructibility, and powerful recursion ability that's active whether Athreos is a creature or not.

The primary focus of the deck is to make it very difficult for your opponents to get rid of things on your board by taking advantage of our recursion engines like Athreos, Ravos, Karmic Guide, Reveillark, etc. At the same time, we want to build our board even more with various token engines like our 'walkers Elspeth, Sun's Champion and Liliana, Dreadhorde General, as well as God-Eternal Oketra, Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet, and so on.

We also combine this with solid lifegain engines (Soul Warden/Soul's Attendant, Exquisite Blood, Exsanguinate, etc.), creatures that give us value with death triggers (Teysa Karlov, Cruel Celebrant, Dictate of Erebos, etc.), and various sac outlets (Phyrexian Altar, Altar of Dementia, Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim, etc.).

There's much you can do with this deck and several ways to secure a victory, as you can see. One thing to note is that the deck can take time to build up. In multiplayer games, this usually isn't bad as you'll seem like less of a threat early on, though it may struggle against more aggro-type decks, especially in a 1-v-1 situation. Overall, this is probably my most powerful and reliable deck to date, and my most loved.
