Ok so I had the idea for this deck after seeing Phylactery Lich. I thought that it was a great ability and could have some interesting play offs with other black cards I had seen before. And there is nothing like a good deck for less than $35.

So there are some great Turn 1 combos.

Dark Ritual + three Despises or three Duresss (or any combination of the two).

Dark Ritual + Darksteel Relic + Phylactery Lich (Turn 1 5/5 Indestructible Creature)

Turn 3

Glaze Fiend (On the battlefield) + Painsmith + Vault of Whispers + Darksteel Axe and/or Darksteel Relic. (6/7 Flyer w/ Death Touch)

And then there is the great ramp with Korlash, Heir to Blackblade and Lashwrithe (Four Swamps = 8/8 Creature)

Other Darksteel Axe A great 1 drop indestructible artifact for Phylactery Lich and another artifact for the Glaze Fiend combo.

Vault Skirge Lifelink and a Flyer (Great creature to attach Lashwrithe to)
