Old description just wasn't cutting it after some reworks.
I have added Renegade Krasis to the deck. This was an obvious must that I completely overlooked before. He has 2 Forest in his cost and is great for devotion. He also adds counters to all my other creatures when I'm getting those big drops. He will add counters to Gyre Sage which was also added. Adding extra counters to Gyre Sage is great for ramping mana quickly to get big drops on X(*) casts.
I doubled the Bow of Nylea count from 2 to 4. Not only is this cards super strong and versatile but it also adds 2 to my devotion.
I added a side board to hold some more niche cards like extra Miscutters incase I'm actually up against blue. Which is like every match at FNM with this new meta... I dropped some Hunt the Weak's into the sideboard. While adding a counter to a creature you can force it to fight an opponents creature. This is helpful against flyers mainly where my deck is weak. I also dropped Nylea, God of the Hunt into the sideboard. More so, just because she is almost required for a green devotion deck since she is a god, but other than that she really is quite weak IMO. Having trample is nice for some of my buffed creatures to make sure they are wiping my opponents board or finishing them but it's not worth the 4 mana drop in this deck.
I'll admit this decks weakness right now. It's flyers. If someone gets out some flyers that have more than 2 toughness and my Bow of Nylea can't drop them. They will be coming in hard. The good thing is the deck contains enough agro if someone isn't saving their creatures to block mine I'll be doing more dmg than a couple 3/3 flyers or that 1 dragon. I say 1 dragon because this deck can get tons of mana out around turn 3-4 and 6/6 vastwoods are easy to come by. Then if I 1v1 a 6/6 dragon with a Vastwood Hydra I'm dropping 6 counters on someone. If my Gyre Sage is in play and I have another Vastwood in hand, my next turn has 6 more mana and those counters are basically going into another Vastwood or Miscutter.
Burst of Strength is a really great card against control decks. They may tap a creature and come in for the big swing with a vunerable attacker. Instant untap AND get a counter on a creature is great. This also allows me to swing my Kalonian Hydra and have him available for block next turn. Not only available, but makes me look vulnerable and can sucker in an attack. All for 1 mana.
Suggestions are welcome. Especially if anyone has a suggestion on what to do with flyers, or if you think this won't be a big deal. I haven't fought many flyers with this deck so I'm not sure.
