What about Sidisi, Undead Vizier to help get all four.

The problem with that is what do I sacrifice for the exploit? I need those creatures to be alternate win conditions and Jace for the discard of hedron alignment. Thanks for suggesting it though.

Ya I thought of that after I posted it, sorry. My idea for the discard was to just draw one too many cards, it'd work well if you have a Hedron Alignment in your starting hand.

I think green is better than red for this deck gives you access to Gather the Pack and Scout the Borders. Also dig should be a 4x since it's way to good to pass up. Languish should probably also be 4x since it takes a while to use Hedron Alignment

pizzagod13 I like Tormenting Voice and Chandra, Flamecaller so i think i will stick with red. i could also put in Roast and Kolaghan's Command but i don't know what to take out. Also Gather the Pack and Scout the Borders are unreliable as they can get more hedrons into your grave yard then you need as you can't select them with the abilities. Thanks for the suggestions and I would appreciate support in making any addition to this deck to make it the best it can while still being r/u/b.

Atrax,
Have you seen SaffronOlive's article and deck over at MTGgoldfish? It's a Sultai approach rather than Grixis, but offers some good ideas for both the build and the matchups.

Yes they can put more hedrons into the grave but you have a little gem called Den Protector which can pull them out. And with this type of deck you need to get through your deck very quickly or you won't win and those cards in green help you out to do that. But it's your choice so do what you want :)

clayperce I like the deck he made but it deck goes all in on hedrons, and while that's good and all, this is more kind of like a u/b/r control deck with hedrons. I should probably clarify that in the description. This deck I like more because of alternate win cons like Chandra, Flamecaller Thought-Knot Seer and Reality Smasher for damage, and I feel this would be better then going all in on how lucky you are. Thanks for sharing the website as the advice and everything is really helpful.

pizzagod13 read what I said to clayperce it might clarify what i awnt this deck to do.

This deck seems a little hard to play and too slow, by the time you get two Hedron Alignment completed, you would either be dead or almost dead, that's just my opinion.
March 5, 2016 11:57 a.m.
Thedood4560 it is pretty slow and that's why you have board clears and killspells/counters to deal with it until that point
March 5, 2016 12:17 p.m.
Pallyy6099 I would love to have some modern cards in this deck but this is made for standard. Thanks for suggesting it though. If I make a modern version I would consider putting that in.
March 9, 2016 11:11 p.m.
I have 1 question...
How can you cast the Smasher and Thought Not when you have no source of colorless mana?
March 10, 2016 1:28 a.m.
I was thinking about my sideboard and I think that the Self-Inflicted Wound should be swapped for Languish as it seems the standard has lots of smaller minions making board wipes better.
March 10, 2016 1:37 a.m.
Runlue wow I never noticed that, I am such an idiot. thanks for literally saving my life. I was looking into what cards to get and not really my land base. I had 3 Sea Gate Wreckages before for it but I found it not using its ability so I took it out. I will add Shivan Reef but what else. Maybe Crumbling Vestige?
March 10, 2016 1:46 a.m.
Haha, no problemo dude.
Crumbling Vestige is okay, definitely a good consideration. I also like the Sea Gate Wreckage and Mirrorpool, that latter helping you stall the board longer.
Edit: Nevermind, don't use Wreckage. Lol

I also have a similar deck called Sphinx's Alignment! u should check out. You have 2 many battle lands and not enough fetches. I would take out one Smoldering Marsh and 2 Sunken Hollow and the 2 Swamp to add one Mountain 2 Bloodfell Caves and 2 Dismal Backwater to help u gain a little life and have access to black. Also take out 2 Horribly Awry and 2 Stratus Dancer to add in 4 Magmatic Insight since u may have extra lands u don't need and can find ur hedrons and spells quicker along with Monastery Siege. Sideboard wise id take out Disdainful Stroke and 2 Self-Inflicted Wound for 3 Transgress the Mind since it hits every relevant thing in standard that matters for the late game. I also play with Hedron Alignment n combined it with Sphinx's Tutelage. Happy aligning.
March 10, 2016 12:04 p.m.
lbsmooth0850 The deck still needs tempo from playing on curve drops till turn five or more save turn one. I feel that the tempo gotten from the battle lands is more important then losing an extra on surve mana for one life. Turn one seems like a good place for one and late game so I will play test with those lands and see how they work out and maybe change my mind. The Magmatic Insights are cool but I prefer counters to save my hedrons from messing up rather then drawing cards. They also don't synergize with the hedrons scry ability, need more mana which means playing lands instead of keeping it for a possible draw. I have already swapped the sideboard cards but what cards would you swap out for them and for what match ups? Also on another point do you think Sphinx's Tutelage is better then Reality Smasher or other attackers as win cons?

You wouldn't be missing on tempo with the insights because if anything u want them to remove a hedron or 2 because with insights filing up ur graveyard along with Monastery Siege ur filtering ur deck for answers to what their doing and also making ur digs and cuts super cheap and able to find the other hedrons. Your creatures are good but if they swarm the board or u play any deck with Crackling Doom ur pretty screwed and behind. Also there will be times you want to have to play ur lands on time and taking out a coue battle lands so u can play spells on time matters and you would b suprised of how a lil life gain will help in any situation. With the scry ability of hedron u only need enough lands to do what u need to do by then any other lands u draw usually dont help so u could also use insights to dig deeper and make ur scrys count more. Tutelage is agood win con but unless ur gonna go full tutelage, ur win cons u have should b good just make sure u know how many of the pieces you can find because the removal now is 2 good for one threat at a time to stay on board.

I forgot u had chandra and her 0 ability helps find even more deeper in ur deck to find the other hedrons. Against ramp all 3 Transgress the Mind and 2 or 3 Infinite Obliteration. The card u need to worry about the most that they play 4 of is World Breaker chaining them back to back will kill u everytime then either Hangarback Walker or Sylvan Advocate which ever one gives u issues because their top heavy hitters they only play one or 2 and u can hit them with transgress before u make ur move, 4 color rally is a dosey either find ur pieces quick n counter a rally is all I can tell u for that one. Jeskai black will.out grind you so duress and rending volley will help, abzan aggro 3 transgress and 2 infinite obliteration. Take out Siege Rhino and Anafenza, the Foremost ur good to go but they also play advocate and ayli n Reflector Mage. Atarka red u want the radiant flames n a couple roast, mardu green u want all 3 transgress the mind all there gonna do is try to out attrition u and have many targets for transgress. G/w hardened scales 3 roast, Radiant Flames n 2 obliterations n take out Managorger Hydra and Avatar of the Resolute are the 2 most troublesome cards that will give u a hard time or hangarback. R/B dragons infinite obliterations and take out Thunderbreak Regent and Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury and ur good as gold. Thats most of the ones im familiar with so hope it helps. Against control decks both duress and all transgress the mind.
March 10, 2016 9:32 p.m.
lbsmooth0850 wow I never expected that detailed description of everything. Thanks a lot. I will add the life lands nut still unsure of the Magmatic Insight so I will go into testing them. Thanks for everything!

tried running it and one of the things i notice is their is no andser to planeswalkers. Suggest Ruinous Path. and maybe another NegateorDispel. while i understand you want to remove coutners from opponents preemptivly there is a limit to what you can do like that.
Maybe -2Roast +2Ruinous Path. path cost a bit more but has greater reach. double black doesnt seem to be a actual issue here.

How do you plan on getting a Hedron Alignment into exile?
