With the Sage of Hours from Journey into Nyx, I think your deck may just out right kill everyone with all the extra turns your taking.

eeeerg "your" = "you're" common typo.

LOL!!!

I just wanted to say, I did some playtests with this and it works great. I was actually writing this to tell you that you need less land, but then I saw you only had 18!! I couldn't believe it, I playtested 5 times and actually got more land than I needed every game. I will say that even with Ordeal of Thassa , I still found myself top-decking A LOT. Not sure what to do about that, I don't see anything I would take out for Divination except maybe Bioshift , but that triggers two Heroics so idk. +1

Hey thanks! I was thinking I might try Stratus Walk because of the card draw.. but idk because everything works pretty good. I would suggest not playing out your whole hand save some of it back but just watch how your opponent plays.

This is the kind of deck I can't get mad at for losing against, and the concept alone is great. +1 for sure!

No problem! Any idea which cards from JOU might be seeing play in the deck?

(I couldn't help it, I preordered 2 Sage of Hours .)

only thing i see that isnt super awesome is you have too much white mana

sage of hours is a top contender, as well as the enchantment that makes spells coast one less per extra permanent that you target, I have to look it up.

Keegan8or I use to run more white heavy with WW and such, I know it feels white heavy too. I think I may try switching two over. But If I run BTE and GW at the same time I like having that much white. Or if I have fiendslayers and fabled heros at the same time.

Tethmos High Priest and Ajani's Presence seem like nice additions from the new set. Launch the Fleet would be amazing to cheaply buff multiple heroic guys, and the tokens can be the unexpected damage (very unlikely they have enough blockers) you need to win the game.

st0nedc0ld man those are great suggestions! Thanks!

I strongly agree with st0nedc0ld about Launch the Fleet . It is extremely cheap to cast, you get chump blockers, or more creatures to punch you opponent's face in with!

Pretty sure its a for sure deal about Launch the Fleet I just havent got my hands on any yet and I do all my playtesting in real life

May 6, 2014 12:35 a.m.

Combo... Launch the Fleet +Battlefield Thaumaturge = equals free additional targets. Unfortunately the battle mage won't really give your other spells a cost reduction, so it might not worth the extra bang. Unless there were any "target X creature" spells you were kickin' around as awesome, but too expensive.

May 6, 2014 9:56 a.m.

Oh... like Glimpse the Sun God .

I don't think there is need for Battlefield Thaumaturge in this deck. Realistically you're not going to be targeting more than 2 creatures with Launch the Fleet anyway, at least most of the time. I'd rather just pay the mana than waste 4 slots in my deck. Especially since he'd ONLY be in there for Launch the Fleet.

I mean it might be worth trying it out, but I don't think you can easily make room for him.

I think I might add two sage of hours and launch the fleets, maybe drop some of my sets to three to make room for it, still messing with it.

the reason you add Battlefield Thaumaturge is for Glimpse the Sun God instant speed tap down there board and trigger your entire board for 1 mana. Launch the Fleet is a secondary spell.

btw, seriously consider some Glimpse the Sun God if you add thaumaturge!!!

This deck has some insane synergy, I picked it up online and I swear every time I have a Hidden Strings in my opening hand I win. I think I've got to agree with st0nec0ld on Battlefield Thaumaturge , although he can be pretty ridiculous with cards like Launch the Fleet realistically he's going to end up as a 2/1 beatstick for a fair amount of the time. I'd have to try him out to be sure, but considering how well this deck synergizes, there are very few cards I would consider replacing with him, although I must admit I haven't found many times were judge's familiar is particularly useful (maybe move him to the sideboard?). Either way, awesome deck, good luck improving it.

the judges work great against kills spells and if someone is trying to cast a pesky enchantment creature on another creature. for some reason a lot of people don't ever see it coming. and having him in the air with a hidden strings is pretty nice too. not to mention BTE works for him too.

This is a sweet deck. It's strategy reminds me of my deck, except mine relies pretty heavily on Sunbond rather than Hidden Strings.

I voted up!

I love the basis and idea of the deck, and the GIFs sold me. I just want to know if you are making a post rotation version? +1
