Thanks, I completely forgot about it.

Barren Glory. If you must play ... that deck, at least win with it.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun. Thanks for the suggestion.

I think Imposing Sovereign has a place here.

Anything you'd take out for it? I do already have Kismet.

I'd say Gold Myr since you have enough acceleration already. Also, have you considered Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx? You have some crazy devotion.

Most of my acceleration is colorless, which is why Gold Myr is here. I have considered Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx quite a bit, actually, but I don't want to go down any more white sources and so if I can't use it for at least 3 then it's a pretty bad land. Now that I think more about it, Nykthos is probably a good option. Fountain of Cho is the only thing that should really be replaced, so thanks!

On second thought, I just really like Fountain of Cho. One less Plains it is.

Masako the Humorless. Why should everyone suffer equally? :P

I'm not sure about it, honestly. The effect could be good but it seems underwhelming.

Blind Obedience? Also I always suggest Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant for white EDH decks.

June 7, 2015 3:29 p.m.

bigguy99 says... #13

I'm not sure if Blind Obedience has a color identity of W or BW because of the extort. If it's just W I might include it.

June 7, 2015 3:38 p.m.

Kryzis says... #14

It doesn't. The color identity only refers to symbols in the rules text. Because the is in the reminder text, it isn't part of the color identity.

Oh, that's cool. What would you take out? I've been having a lot of trouble making cuts for stuff.

June 7, 2015 3:44 p.m.

Grantley91 says... #16

Probably Ur-Golem's Eye. Four mana for 2 is a ripoff.

June 7, 2015 3:53 p.m.

bigguy99 says... #17

It's really not that bad. It's the same as Sisay's Ring. Any mana acceleration in this deck is good because of all of the tax effects and land destruction.

June 7, 2015 3:57 p.m.

Damping Engine feels kind of like dead weight to me. You're already playing so many cards that restrict everyone; having this one additional restriction on just one player (which might be you) seems much less efficient. You could cut that.

The reasoning behind Masako the Humorless is that she's handy under effects like Static Orb and Storage Matrix. If creatures aren't untapping, eventually untapped creatures will be pretty scarce, and people won't have any blockers. Attacking will be costly, but less risky, because it's more likely to succeed. Masako restores your ability to block in those situations, which should make people less likely to pick you as their target.

bigguy99 says... #19

That's actually pretty interesting reasoning, and I like it. Sounds like a plan!

Now I'm curious: Since i'm down to 22 artifacts, is it worth playing Darksteel Forge? I had more when I started but now I'm thinking I could take it out since it's not really central to what I'm trying to do anyway. I'm thinking Silence, putting Tithe back in, or some other sweet card.

June 7, 2015 8 p.m.

You're running Static Orb, Winter Orb, Mana Web, Storage Matrix, Ethersworn Canonist, Lodestone Golem, Thorn of Amethyst, and Smokestack.

You should absolutely keep playing Darksteel Forge. :P If people don't want to throw Shatters at you, you're doing it wrong.

(Also, once everyone's lands are locked down, most of your mana is coming from artifacts.)

You could always be a jerk and play Platinum Angel. Or Silent Arbiter.

June 7, 2015 9:06 p.m.

LittleSallyDigby: I guess going down from 25 to 22 artifacts seemed like a bigger change than it actually is, haha. It can get clunky sometimes with the other big drops, but whatever. It's EDH lol.

Grantley91: Platinum Angel doesn't do what the deck wants to do, which is just shut everyone down. I guess if I'm going to die it's either I wasn't doing something right or someone got lucky and went infinite really early. Silent Arbiter was considered but isn't in here for the same reason Platinum Angel isn't.

By the way, thanks for all the help! I really do appreciate it.

HAhaha fun. I like it but it seems a bit you know, not annoying enough maybe some stuff that destroys all tapped permanents or creatures so you can just be like "Hey wassup, and merry christmas. DIIIIIIIIIE" +1

Well, there's Sunblast Angel, Righteous Fury, and Guan Yu's 1,000-Li March; basically no good options.
