I know he's lame because everyone uses him, but I would strongly consider Thragtusk . The curve of going from biomancer to thrag to prime speaker is just unbelievably delicious.

The idea here is to get out the Master Biomancer as fast as possible. (Yes i know i need 2 more, working on it.) I use "pseudo draw" Augur of Bolas , Unexpected Results , and Call to the Kindred so i can get cards out of my library, increasing the chances of drawing the cards i want. I figured Increasing Savagery on Simic Manipulator gave me some creature defense, or on Master Biomancer to increase all subsequent creature strength. Delver of Secrets  Flip , and Wingcrafter are early game and flying defense; both also work with Call to the Kindred . Prime Speaker Zegana is my big bomb, plus with Bioshift makes the biomancers crazy. Redirect , Tower Defense , and Simic Charm are the only real defense i have. Any suggestions on what doesn't work the way i think, or something that might work better?

well, because its a simic deck, you have to throw in Experiment Kraj

I'd drop Talrand, Sky Summoner . You don't really have enough instant/sorcery spells to make him worthwhile. On the other hand, you can make Simic Manipulator significanly more powerful by adding cards like Hydrosurge and Agoraphobia to lower any creatures power enough to steal it with Simic Manipulator .

Behemoth13 i will playtest with the Experiment Kraj.Saljen Since i am trying out the Experiment Kraj i'll go woth the spells you suggested for the Simic Manipulator. I am going to miss the Talrand, Sky Summoner, so i might try him in one the alternative decks i'm building below. A few other things im' trying with Master Biomancer token-biomancer-bant-v10 & bant-token-biomancer-budget-helpThank you for the input.

If you pair a Wolfir Silverheart with master biomancer stuff gets ridiculous quickly, very quickly.

Love the deck. Since it's really about beefing up the supporting cast of Master Biomancer and Talrand, Sky Summoner - use more instants/sorceries. Especially if you are going to use Delver.

Druid's Deliverance - gets you more flying tokens while holding off attacks.

Rapid Hybridization - is great with the fog effect and opposing threats like Boros Reckoner

Giant Growth - Simple play. Pump Master Biomancer and followup with a creature. Also saves him from burn spells.

Fungal Sprouting over Ooze Flux - After you Giant Growth Master Biomancer - make (5) 6/6 tokens.

And speaking of burn. Use the natural pump ability of Elvish Archdruid . Of course, the extra mana is nice too.

@ LoPhat...
This changed almost every card in the deck. I always overlook spells in favor of permanents. This gave me a little more speed. Question is do I now want to add more elves to bolster the Elvish Archdruid . IF i could afford Drowning Pool i can see adding Arbor Elf . Though I have heard that the next expansion will be gate heavy, so that's a thought. Thank you for the help, I will check out some of your decks also thanks!

Glad to help.

As for Elvish Archdruid you are ok with him and Gyre Sage . That's a ton of mana. While Arbor Elf could be a big 6/6 later in the game, I am not sure your mana base could take advantage of him. If you want more elves to boost everyone - go with Clone . He can be defensive too in copying an opposing Legendary creature. But at best, he is your 5th or 6th Master Biomancer .

Instead of Clone any what about Cackling Counterpart ? It's a little cheaper, would trigger Talrand, Sky Summoner , and could be flashed back later in game. the only loss is I cannot copy one of my opponents creatures, I.E. kill the legendary creature.

@crabopolis - Good call on Cackling Counterpart .

I reduced the Delver of Secrets  Flip to 2, making room for Cloudfin Raptor which can not be a 3/2 on T2, but can take full advantage of bring out 5 5/5's on T5 to become a 5/6 with evolve. I am still considering taking out Giant Growth to make room for Simic Charm . Also moved Simic Manipulator & Hydrosurge to SB.

@crabopolis - for some reason I thought you were already running Simic Charm main. That's is a much better fit all around.

this deck def needs draw power

I'd probably drop Forced Adaptation in favor of Increasing Savagery . It'll swap out an enchantment for a sorcery making Talrand, Sky Summoner that much better.

i like that card a lot so go for it

The Forced Adaptation is here for draw. Generally try to target either Zameck Guildmage to use his 2nd ability for draw, or put it on Master Biomancer for increased pump. I had Increasing Savagery originally in the deck, but had so many 4 drops. My main concern is speed here. I'll play test both with new setup and see what happens. If anything I'd trade out for a Fathom Mage for draw.
