Thanks for that, it was very helpful. I have some Arc Lightnings, 2 Hordeling Outbursts and a few Glare of Heresys somewhere in my collection. I have yet to see the metagame of my LGS, as my first FNM is this week. As I said, I will be doing draft to pick up the commons and uncommons that I need at FNM. (My LGS runs both standard and draft tournaments at the same time at FNM)

My one and only problem with Roast is whether it is better that Valorous Stance in my deck. The other burn spells usually cover what Valorous Stance doesn't hit. Also, roast doesn't get those pesky flyers. Once again, thank you for the advice and suggestions, it is welcomed gratefully.
April 8, 2015 4:07 a.m.
Oh you know what you're right. Valorous Stance is much better than roast. I've been thinking in terms of Mono for awhile because that's all I see at my shop lately. X_X

I understand completely. At one point at my old school all that was around was / heroic, and every second thing I thought about in magic was Favored Hoplite.
I don't know anything about the metagame at my store yet, just that there is some sort of Mono devotion monsters deck running around trampling opponents down.

Monastery Swiftspear? You're running a lot of noncreature spells.
April 10, 2015 12:42 a.m.
I'm not sure about swiftspear, but please check out my tokens deck (Link in description) to see what build I'm aiming for to do well.

Consider running Retraction Helix and Astral Cornucopia to go infinite with Jeskai Ascendency. You play Retraction Helix on a creature, play Astral Cornucopia for 0, turn on Jeskai Ascendency to untap said creature and pump team, then continue to bounce-play Astral Cornucopia to go tall in a big way. Best when they have tapped out for a big threat.

It certainly would be interesting to add the pieces for the combo deck in, and certainly unexpected in the middle of a game. The problem is that the entire deck is more tempo-based, and if you look at the combo decks their entire aim is to assemble the pieces to go off, and it may yet hinder the deck if I were to put them in. But I do wonder sometimes...

If it's 2 of each, just makes a nice surprise in the grindy control matchups.

I think this deck needs to be a 4 of 9 of situation (with some additions) I suggest this build:
Core Deck:
Jeskai Charm X 2
Anticipate X 2
Raise the Alarm X 4
Treasure Cruise X 4
Wild Slash X 4
Stoke the Flames X 4
If you have the money: Narset Transcendent X 1
This is the most budget-but-competitive version I have seen. Each card selection has a rationale, so let me know if you have questions.

If you are worried about mono red Jeskai Charm can be good. Surge of Righteousness is also a good option against mono red. I Love Shu Yun, not sure how good he is in constructed, but have fun with him he can do a lot of damage if left unchecked. Not sure why No one has seriously considered Narset transcendent for Jeskai tokens yet. The deck seems like the best fit for her in standard to me.
May 8, 2015 3:32 a.m.
I currently don't have any Narset Transcendents, and I have one Surge of Righteousness, whose best use is apparently stopping Goblin Rabblemaster. I would love to see what Narset does, as I can easily imagine triggering Jeskai Ascendancy multiple times and putting tons of tokens onto the battlefield. Shu yun is currently acting, with some Mantis Riders as the cmc replacement for Monastery Mentor.

Surge of Righteousness is best against mono red, but it can also kill Siege Rhino or Dragonlord Silumgar you just have to be careful siding it in vs anything but mono red. I just hate mono red hard.

Take out Shu-Yun, the Charm and the Valorous stance, as well as the Wild Slashes. Add two more Lightning Strike. I'd run up to four Banishing Light in these Decks. You'll usually cast these for free and they are a blowout every other time. Ahoy!

Monastery Mentor is something I have been trying to acquire. Valor in Akros is an interesting suggestion that I'll have to playtest. My one problem is it could be effectively time walking yourself. I'll try it out.
July 17, 2015 4:57 a.m.
since your going for the token feel Goblin Rabblemaster is good and mixing your token spam with Purphoros, God of the Forge is also quite good
July 17, 2015 5:07 a.m.
Goblin Rabblemaster and Purphoros, God of the Forge are about to rotate. I am not sure whether Jeskai will survive rotation. Retreat to Emeria looks like an interesting card in those games where you just draw lands.

Some Outpost Siege or Monastery Siege might prove usefull. I run 2 outpost sieges in my jeskai token deck and "wasting" the 4th turn on it is actually worth it, because it accelerates you so hard. Monastery sieges would help fuel delve for your playset Treasure Cruise along with the ascendancy loot.
If you can get them the instant speed Dig Through Time is also worth it. The double blue can be bothersome sometimes, but the filtering at instant speed is just too good.

Needs Jace it's so potent for Jeskai tokens whether your buying back stoke or anything else your deck wants is just to powerful not to play unless we're playing on a budget .
September 10, 2015 2:39 a.m.
Depending on your budget Hangarback Walker & Monastery Mentor are very helpful token generators.
And Jace, Vryn's Prodigy is almost necessary.. Unfortunately they're 40$+ at the moment.
Other than that seems solid, only other suggestion would be maybe adding Secure the Wastes.

Jace it not necessary. Jeskai tokens was a brutally amazing deck all the time, Ascendancy gives you anything what you want from Jace and on the 2-Drop, Seeker of the Way is the so significantly better card in this deck, it's not even funny. What the deck really wants is Devouring Light which it can, in most of the cases, cast for free.

I would try to trim the number of lands that come in tapped.
You could use some Arc Lightning in the sideboard. Against something like mono siding in 2 negates can be risky because you might not see a Hordeling Outburst but for sure you will see a bunch of cheap red creatures you can 2 for 1 with Arc Lightning.
Also try and get some Roast from the sideboard. The reasoning for this is there are a "lot" of things that you'll want to hit with Suspension Field but the big ones are Siege Rhino, Surrak, the Hunt Caller, Tasigur, the Golden Fang, Polukranos, World Eater, Courser of Kruphix and some others. Notice how all of those colors can easily run enchantment removal. Most of them have Banishing Light in the main or side so it's better to just kill their creatures.
Hordeling Outburst is important if you want Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker to hit them more than once. I understand he's great just for the removal but if you have to remove something with Sarkhan it's usually because you don't have board state. Outburst helps get the board state.
Glare of Heresy can remove pesky Rhinos, Elspeths, Narsets, Mantis Riders and more permanently. A lot of the top decks that can run have 2 or 3 in the side.
