Principle is the same as always, blow up your opponents creatures or force them to sack em to keep Desecration Demon from wrecking their face, Nightveil Specter is another flyer for 2/3 that adds 3B to your devotion while removing cards from their library. As always with black life is a resource, but with Whip of Erebos your creatures gain lifelink. Liliana of the Dark Realms lets you fish for land, shuffle your deck, and lets you beef up a creature or destroy one of theirs. I'm not sure what to do about losing Sign in Blood so I'm going to try to run Read the Bones to make up for the draw loss. Nighthowler is amazing! You can put him as an aura on Desecration Demon and every time they sack to stop him he gets that much beefier, then when he dies you get a creature with x/x to how many creatures are in all graveyards. Black may have lost it's good board wipe in Mutilate but there is enough creature destruction to slow down your opponent and have early big drops. Erebos, God of the Dead stops your opponent from being able to gain any life and you can cast Devour Flesh with out any sort of penalty, not that it typically is a game changer. As always Corrupt is your alternate win condition as well as my favorite black sorcery of all time, but now you can count Gray Merchant of Asphodel as well! Not only does he come into play and hit your opponent for you black devotion (SPOILER ALERT: Mono-Black has more colored mana cost than any other color so it's a lot) and you can chump block with him bring him back with Whip of Erebos and do it all over again!
