Maybe, but I am looking for a turn 2 counter and there is no guarantee I will will have any devotion at that point.

Have you considered Gift of Orzhova for evasion? Hero makes it cheaper and it boosts Eidolon. Glimpse the Sun God might be interesting because you can tap your guys after declaring attackers, triggering heroic. I also like Hopeful Eidolon over Nyxborn Shieldmate but I haven't had a chance to play with it yet, so I could be way off there.

Good thoughts. I am trying to avoid enchantments that aren't bestowed to beat removal. The more enchantments I have, the more often I get 2 for 1ed, whereas with bestow the aura becomes a creature so I retain some utility. I actually did have Glimpse the Sun God in here but decided to take it out. This deck's brother deck, which is in the description, runs it and sometimes I pick things different than him just so when we playtest against each other we can see which differences are better. So for now I am going to stick with 2 Elspeth's instead of 2 Glimpse's because that's what it replaced, and see if that helps at all.

No gift of immortality, keep the Rootborn Defenses , I'm also a big fan of Favored Hoplite as a 1 drop

There is not a whole lot for Hero of Iroas in this deck. Just the two Bestow creatures.Gift of Orzhova and Gift of Immortality could be good options if you wanted it to work more.

Yeah, Verdicts are already sort of ineffective against bestow because I keep some board state afterward. I just lose Ethereal Armor or Aqueous Form . I do like Favored Hoplite . Maybe take out Banisher Priest ? Good thoughts guys.

If I am going to do Gift of Orzhova I might as well pay one more mana and get Hopeful Eidolon which bestows and helps against 2 for 1's. Gift is kind of unnecessary with all of the survivability that this deck has and if the creature dies and comes back then all enchantments come off anyway. I would mainboard Rootborn Defenses before Gift I think. You may be right that I don't have enough heroic triggers or bestow though. We will nail that balance down through testing soon enough.

personally i say definitely play the Rootborn Defenses before the gift, the problem with the gift is that all of the counters that were on the creature are now gone when it comes back and Gift of Immortality would NOT trigger heroic when it comes back either (because the spell is not "cast") not to mention rootborn saves every creature instead of just one

Mizzium Skin in the board may help against spot removal, also if you want more auras/heroic triggers then maybe Ephara's Enlightenment ? the counters are permanent, it costs 2 cmc with a hero out, and grants evasion, and is reusable, just a thought.
mind giving me opinions on my own Azorius Heroic aggro?

I will check out your deck. I agree about the Rootborn vs Gift. I like Mizzium Skin and will consider it if I feel like something else isn't working; Especially since it helps against Bile Blight . I try to avoid as many enchantments as possible as they are easy targets for removal giving your opponent a 2 for 1 so Ephara's Enlightenment is probably too expensive and too risky for not that much of a reward. I'd rather run Hopeful Eidolon if I was looking for more triggers and buffs. I feel like I have a decent amount of evasion with Aqueous Form and Gods Willing already and could even bring back in Glimpse the Sun God if I needed more of both evasion and heroic triggers. Good thoughts, I am not going to change anything right away as it's been a while since I tested and need to do that first.

I haven't begone making this same kind of deck so I'm looking at creatures which I'm not sure of but I think I quite like. I think Akroan Skyguard , Ghostblade Eidolon and Vanguard of Brimaz are all good creatures. I'm also not sure of a play set of Fabled Hero . Possibly -2 for +2 Hopeful Eidolon ? I also quite like the look of Thassa's Emissary for post Supreme Verdict to replenish the hand.

It's a pretty good deck so far! I would replace Akroan Skyguard with Favored Hoplite to help your curve, plus Gift of Orzhova already gives flying, so more often than not you will wish you had a bigger! more efficient creature than the skyguard. Also, Ethereal Armor is a must have! I would say, -4 skyguard, -2 Fabled Hero , -2 Brave the Elements +4 Favored Hoplite , +4 Ethereal Armor .

I like the suggestions. I'm still not sold on Ethereal Armor with as few enchantments as I run, but I'll definitely test out Favored Hoplite

+1, but perhaps consider Thassa's Rebuff instead of Syncopate ?
