I think you don't need Assemble the Legion - by the time it gets rolling you're either rockin' or struggling and a bunch more weenies may not help after that.

Madcap Skills would be a good one to add. Nice little boost and forces your opponent to block whatever it's on with two creatures. I'd also recommend Legion's Initiative . Boosts all your creatures and can save them from a board wipe.

With the heavy removal currently in standard this deck will have a hard time grabbing momentum. I feel that This deck is trying to be aggro and continually get bigger. The slow tempo of heroic makes aggro hard and the high amount of removal makes the growth part hard. That being said I would consider Spear of Heliod to help block some damage removal and add damage to the aggro side.

DMdrogo75 is absolutely right when he says there is a lot of removal in standard and that getting big is hard to do. One option to help get around this dilemma is instead of getting big in size, get big in numbers with Launch the Fleet . On top of that, make your stuff indestructible and reduce the amount of blocking your opponent does with Iroas, God of Victory .

Just Swapped Nyxborn Shieldmate for Anax and Cymede , thoughts?

Smart choice because Anax and Cymede does a lot more for the deck. Granted it takes away bestow creatures but it makes more targets for heroic triggers, and it's an awesome heroic trigger as well!

and also, a 3/2 first strike and vigilance for 3 mana is very good too!

Seeker of the Way or Jeskai Student ?

Hammerhand , Defiant Strike , or Dragon Mantle ? -(pick 2)

Could I fit in War-Name Aspirant or Borderland Marauder ?

And also, are Brave the Sands and Lightning Strike good for this deck?

Try Seeker of the Way instead of Jeskai Student , it might not be as tough but it hits a little harder and also gives life link which can turn the tables in tough games.

agree about Seeker of the Way over Jeskai Student. theres really no comparison about the two, having 1 toughness more is meaningless when the other guy has more power and gains lifelink all day long.

Why you no Seeker of the Way??

Nice deck though, I have a similar build myself which is why I suggest the seeker. He can provide alot of sustainablity with all the prowess triggers. Esp if you can hit him with doublestrike. What creature should I swap for Seeker of the Way?

Put Akroan Skyguard in sideboard for Seeker main.

My vote would be the crusader but I don't know how well he works for you.

Cut the skyguard for the crusader.

also if i played this i would have all my instants be all 1 drops, so thats a 4 pack of Defiant Strike, Gods Willing, and Rouse the Mob. then i would drop Anax and Cymede and go +1 Fabled Hero, cut Akroan Skyguard for Seeker of the Way, plus cut Dragon Mantle to get a 4 pack of Seeker if needed.
